My chest heaved in a breath, smelling the rich smell of her shampoo. I became so obsessed with her in such a short amount of time. I don’t know what I was going to do to hold myself back. My cock was already strained against my joggers, and she kept rubbing her body closer to get warmer.
Uriel’s eyes twitched, making her eyelashes rub against her cheeks. My finger trailed down her nose, gently tickling her lips as I stared at her. Uriel was some other kind of beautiful, and even with her childish ways, I sort of liked it.
I liked taking control of her, and she didn’t mind submitting. She always came when I told her; she wanted to please me as much as I wanted to please her. My demands didn’t scare her, they only excited her, filling her room with her arousal. Was it her mother that made her so submissive? Or was she born like this because of her goddess attributes? Maybe it was a combination of the two, but still, I wanted to know more about what her powers had to offer.
Pulling the blankets over her, having sensed the chill running over her arms, I pulled her closer still. Tomorrow, I had big plans for my mate, and part of those plans included getting away from this palace. Her mother may have demanded that she did not leave the palace grounds, but damn, she was my mate, and I’d fucking destroy anything that got too close to her.
Where we were going had close to no evil, just a few small siren children that liked to grace the shores of the hidden island. I had already ensured that no other beings—besides the dragons—would be there, and I knew Uriel would be excited to see more of Father’s creations.
After confirming Uriel was indeed asleep, one of my wings engulfed us both, protecting and shielding her from any threat, or maybe to make sure she couldn’t sneak away from me again.
I’ll have to show her what happens when she runs from me.
“Where are we going?” Uriel skipped down the hall as I held her hand.
Two of her skips equaled one of my steps, and it made me smile at how completely reliant she will be on me. My urge to protect her and keep her safe doubled over the night. Especially now that I realized she was going to be challenging when trying to sneak sweets.
Maybe I should put a snack bar in my room for her.
“It’s a surprise,” I smiled down at her.
Her golden eyes brightened while pulling on my sleeve. “Please tell me!” she squealed again, echoing through the dining hall.
Nora had just situated the last serving tray in the middle of the table when Loukas helped her to her seat and wrapped his tail lovingly around her waist. Now that I understood the bond, it no longer sickened me to see my family so enamored with each other.
“Morning Uriel!” Loki poked his head out from under the table. He scrambled to his seat, right next to Uriel’s, and patted it excitedly. Uriel gave Loki a hug—which I hated, but allowed, since he was in fact, my brother.
“Plans for the day?” My father cradled Lilith in his arms as he unbuttoned his suit jacket and sat down. Mother handed him a bottle. Each morning, Father liked to hear all of our plans for the day; he didn’t like it when we all sat idle. Loki was the worst one to leave unoccupied because he would cause mischief, far worse than normal.
“School,” Loki slouched in his seat.
Ares, who sat on the other side of Loki, nudged Loki to sit up. Ares hated slouchers; he expected his nephews to hold themselves with pride as he did.
“Can I stay home with Uriel today?”
Mother shook her head, placing a napkin in her lap. “No, not today.”
Loki whined more until Uriel poked his cheek with her finger. “When you get home, we can hang out.” Uriel’s voice lightened the tables’ mood considerably as the tension left Father’s heavy scowl.
“We can go swimming in the pool,” Uriel whispered, and Loki nodded quickly.
“No,” I spoke deeply as I put a piece of sausage in my mouth. Uriel’s eyes dilated, looking at the meat on my plate.
What was she thinking?
“Why not?” Loki whined again, pushing his eggs to the side.
“I’m taking my mate somewhere; we won’t be back until late.” As I popped the sausage in my mouth, Uriel gasped. “What?” I whispered, trying to cover my mouthful of food.
“Nothing,” she whispered, giggling to herself. I squeezed her thigh, expressing that I would want to know later.
Ares didn’t say a word this morning. Surely, Loki had spoken to Ares about the prank he pulled last night: scaring Uriel. Ares and Loki both had a sick sense of humor when it came to pranking people or nudity. Ares just sat quietly, continuing to hold Mariah, who was petting his cheek lovingly.
Those two were never quiet, so it only piqued my interest more.
“Not now,” Father linked me. “He will talk when he is ready.”
Sighing, Uriel patted her face with the napkin delicately and pulled on my arm. “Can we go?” she whispered.
