Standing upright, one hand on my ponytail, the other under my chin, he guided himself back inside and set up a steady rhythm.
My legs quivered and shook, my eyes rolling back in my head.
“Eyes on me!”
My eyes snapped open and raised to his face. Frig. Could I come like this? He was going to kill me.
He pulled out and dropped to his knees, his eyes on my face. “Fuck, Amber, you’re going to come.”
He sat back on his heels and yanked me onto his lap, my legs around his waist, and impaled me.
“Gus,” I gasped as the first tremor beckoned.
He held onto my ass as he thrust up inside me. “Hand to your pussy, baby. Help yourself get there.”
One touch, two, I arched back and exploded, clenching and pulsing around him.
I could hear him as if from a distance, his small noises telling me how close he was, and I struggled to get off him. “Mouth, mouth, I want you in my mouth.” I needed to reclaim what was mine.
He swung me to my knees, stood, thrust into my mouth, and came down my throat.
I massaged his balls and drained every last drop, as his body bowed over mine with his release.
I slowly released him, and he hauled me to my feet, sealing my mouth with his, tasting his love and my forgiveness on my lips, then tucked me against his chest and sat on the edge of the bed, his body tense.
I stroked my fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck. “There. When you get that awful picture, you remember who owns you, and you remember this instead. Don’t let anybody or anything come between us.”
He relaxed beneath me, and I nestled in.
We were making progress, but his touch still held a hint of apology. I wondered if we would ever find our way back to what we were, when my body was his, and his was mine.
Chapter 36: I Can Fly
Amber
Saturday morning as Gus and Alex prepared to go out with Vander and Jace, my cell rang.
“Hello?”
“Your sister’s as high as a kite. You want to come sit with her?”
“Ruby? Ruby’s high? How?”
Vander chuckled. “She went to the doctor yesterday for a prescription for anxiety so she can get on a plane with me next week. She passed a cannabis store on the way home and thought maybe she would go for a more ‘natural’ approach.”
I laughed. “I’m on my way.”
I was still laughing to myself as I called Minty.
Gus wandered into the kitchen, “What are you laughing at?”
I held up a finger asking him to wait. “Mint? Want to meet me at Ruby’s? Vander just called. She took something ‘natural’ for anxiety and she’s high.”
Gus grinned and chuckled.
Minty’s tinkling laugh rang out. “I’ll see you over there.”
We arrived at the same time and walked in laughing to find Jace sitting bemused and Vander grinning.
