I felt powerful and unstoppable, and I wanted more of him.

When he finished, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and shoved his dick inside me again.

“Now I’m going to finish you,” he said.

I smiled as his mouth brushed along mine. I tasted my sex as he continued to move inside me. It didn’t take long for another orgasm. This time, he had his release too.

Hot liquid spilled inside me, filling me to the brim. The release was so strong that I was drained and in need of a nap.

Surprisingly, I figured Liam would have gotten dressed or left the bed to shower and leave, but he collapsed to the bed next to me and sighed. I curled into him. His arm wrapped protectively around me.

I was never one for breaking the rules. And though this whole thing had started out as capitalizing on a loophole, it turned into something more. Something I was happier about than I had expected I would have been.

Within minutes, I drifted off to a night of deep, beautiful sleep.

NOAH

I had been tossing and turning for what seemed like hours while Detective Abadi snored away in his chair. He seemed to have received a very reassuring message just before he drifted off. I wasn’t positive though. But his legs were even propped up on the table with his feet crossed at the ankles. The small lamp standing in the corner of the room shed a dim light on the drool dripping from his mouth.

How anyone was able to sleep like that was beyond me.

Still, I was going crazy not hearing anything about Savannah. The detective had kept tight-lipped about her condition. But enough was enough, and I was starting to go a little stir crazy. I sat up on the edge of the bed and watched Jacob sleep. Not to be a creep, but to stare in confusion at his ability to snore like a lumberjack in the middle of a forest.

How was this supposed to work with my safety. Anyone could walk by the room and hear him, and knock down the door, just to make sure renovations weren’t being done in the middle of the night, disturbing the other guests.

For crying out loud, he was over the top.

If not for my worry for Savvy, his snoring would have been enough to keep me awake.

There was no hope for some rest. Not with him, and not without seeing for myself how Savannah was. Why she hadn’t checked in by now was beyond me. The least she could have done was send a text message. Even better would have been her showing up. Then again, maybe Detective Abadi had received a message regarding her, and that was why he was able to sleep so soundly. Still, he wasn’t inclined to share, and I was still restless and filled with worry.

At this point, I was ready to do anything so long as it meant I left this room. I needed fresh air and peace. Not to mention finding out for myself that Savannah was fine.

Oh, but the snoring… he was getting louder.

I looked around for something I could throw at him. I didn’t have much in the way of options. A picture window stood on the other side of him and the table. Anything hard had a chance of missing and going through the window and that would only make matters worse. I needed something softer.

My eyes fell to the head of my bed where four pillows laid. My eyebrows raised. A pillow would work. I clutched it in my fist and sent the thing flying into the detective’s smug face.

He was startled as the pillow landed square in his face. He gripped it and sat up, removing his feet from the table. The pillow was tossed to the floor, leaving him to glare at me.

“What the hell did you do that for?” he asked.

“I can’t sleep. Your snoring is going to wake the dead,” I said.

“Get over it, pampered prince,” he muttered and started to act like he was going to return to his odd sleeping position.

“If you do that, I’m just going to throw another pillow at you,” I warned. “I have about three more at my disposal. And I’m not above putting them back into rotation. The choice is yours.”

The man settled his dark eyes on me with a thin-lipped frown. “Into rotation?”

I shrugged. “You’ll have to forgive my inability to make sense right now. Lack of sleep and all.”

He glared at me some more.

I simply stared at him, showing him that he not only didn’t intimidate me, but I also wasn’t joking. I reached for one of the other pillows on my bed, just to prove a point.
