“Elle, please.”
Sir:You have the face of a woman who hadn’t told their parents they are moving to New York with a man she barely knows.
I scoffed before reading the text message to Elle. She grinned like a Cheshire cat before turning her head toward them and shaking it while laughing.
I rubbed my fingers through my hair. “Oh my Goddd. I can’t.”
In just a matter of seconds, I’d become severely frustrated because just for one moment, I’d forgotten about it. I started rubbing my temples.
“Ah. Let me get that for you.”
“Hey Abel.
He covered my hands with his and started massaging my temples. Elle looked taken aback. I hadn’t told her about Abel hitting on me. My mind has been on nothing but Diesel’s ass.
“How y’all doing?”
Elle sipped her drink. “I’m good. You?” She eyed us both.
“I’m good, Elle. Been a minute since I saw you.”
Before I could say something, my phone vibrated against the table. Rolling my eyes toward my phone, I read the text message.
Sir:He has approximately five seconds until the time you’ve finished reading this to take his fucking hands off you. 1.
When I tried to move out of Abel’s hands, he didn’t get the picture.
Sir:2.
“Thank you, Abel.”
He released my head and dropped down in the seat next to me.
“And how are you doing, Grey? I hadn’t talked to you since that afternoon. Are you okay? Is everything okay?”
I nodded my head. “Yeah, everything is…”
My phone vibrated again.
Sir:Him inhaling your air is a violation as well. Ms. Greysen. For every minute he’s near you… you remember last night?
I snatched my phone up and fired back a text.
Me:Yes, I remember last night! You spanked me! And didn’t even kiss me! You said that it started when we got to NEW YORK! This is CITRUS GROVE!
“Grey.”
I looked at him, very thankful for my privacy screen as Abel was staring down at my phone. “Yes? Oh. Yeah. Everything is fine. That was…”
Sir:1.
“Nothing.”
“Oh. So, did you kind of think about what I asked?”
“About the date?” I asked.
Elle nearly choked on her drink before looking at me. “I’m sorry? You didn’t tell me that.”
