Disappointment roared through me when Penny eased away.

Without a word, I handed the bartender a wad of cash, collected the six beers, laid one last fleeting kiss on Penny’s mouth, then stalked away without a word.

My pulse still hammered harder than I cared to admit when I arrived at our table, where I was met with roaring cheers, laughter and hand slaps.

When I slid into the booth beside Doughboy, he grinned and shook his head. “I can’t believe you pulled that off, Lotus! That was smooth. Real fucking smooth.”

“It’ll be extra smooth if Penny and her friends join us.”

He arched a brow. “Penny, huh? And her friends? More specifically, the blonde?”

“Lydia,” I drawled. “And the dark-haired one is Vivi.”

I had my beer tipped against my lips when Doughboy’s eyes flicked over my shoulder. Another smug smirk broke out on his face, right before a mouth-watering wave of familiar perfume hit.

“I hear you guys wanted some company?”

I twisted in my seat and came nose-to-breast with Penny’s tits. She watched me intently as I set my beer aside and pushed to my feet—conveniently brushing my chest against hers as I rose to full height.

Across the table, Forrest was doing the same while checking out the depth of Vivi’s cleavage.

I motioned for Penny to slip into the booth. “Take a seat, beautiful.”

“Wait!” Doughboy halted her. “Blondie, here.” He all but clicked his fingers after tapping the seat cushion.

Lydia’s brow arched and she gave him a steely glare, holding it until he leaned forward and snagged her hand.

“Get in here already. Let’s get to know each other a little.”

She reneged with a giggle, and eased into the seat.

Penny turned her baby blues on me. The look within them made me halt. They were expectant, as if I hadn’t yet done something. I reached for her and hooked my thumb over the jut of her hip bone.

“Keep lookin’ at me like that, beautiful, and I’mma end up taking you home later.”

The little spark burned brighter in her eyes. “What happens ifItakeyouhome?”

I smirked and spoke against her ear, running my fingers up her exposed back as I did so.

“Result’s gonna be the same, Lemon Drop. Either way, you’ll be screaming my name before the night’s done, and it ain’t gonna be just once.”

The music covered the audible hitch of her breath as her chest inflated with the quick inhale. When she looked up at me from under her eyelashes, she gave all the answers I needed: she and I were going to be each other’s dirty little Vegas secret, and I couldn’t goddamn wait to get that party started.

I angled closer and ran the back of my knuckles along her jaw. “Name’s Dante, by the way.”

CHAPTEREIGHT

Penny

Dante. Why wasn’t I surprised? Ofcoursea hot guy like him had a hot name to match. Tall, muscular, and a smoldering lopsided smile. I couldn’t stop staring. His amber gaze speared through me, right into the depths of my soul. Like a wolf’s gaze. Hauntingly beautiful. Feared, yet mesmerizing.

I could tell he was older than me, and that most certainly added to the appeal.

Sliding onto the seat, I giggled at the exaggerated wink Vivi gave from across the table, where she sat next to a broad-shouldered guy with dark hair and eyes.

Anticipation shot through me when Dante’s warm hand landed on my bare thigh. I lifted my drink and sipped through the straw, then met his piercing gaze. He dashed his tongue across his lower lip, creating heat in my core and curiosity over wanting to know just how talented that tongue was.

His cologne swirled and wrapped me in its arousing scent. Woodsy with a hint of spice. Sexy and all man. A scent that made me want to climb onto his lap and see where it took us.
