Page 46 of His Little Garnet

I rise and head toward Olivia who’s not able to get up on her own. Hopefully today will light a fire under her.

After unfastening her, I lift her into my arms and nuzzle her neck. “I’m proud of you,” I whisper so no one else can hear me. “I hope you’re having fun.”

“I am, Papi. Sophie is so nice, and she knows a lot about gems. She was telling me about all the pretty red ones.”

Sophie has bounced off to throw herself at Ekert.

I hold back a moment to make sure Olivia is okay with this plan. She’ll be mad later if she was steamrolled. “Are you okay with looking at the stones, Baby girl? You don’t have to choose any or make any decisions. But looking at them is fun.”

“I’m okay. I want to see them.”

“All right. Let’s do that.” I carry her toward the door that leads to Ekert’s shop and follow him and Sophie inside. It’s been a while since I’ve been here. Now that I have a Little girl, I hope I’ll be visiting often. I’d love nothing more than to spoil Olivia with pretty jewels.

Olivia gasps as she sees the glass cases filled with jewelry.

Sophie has bounded toward a specific case and twisted around to look at us. “Come see these. All the red ones are in here.”

“Calm down, Baby girl,” Ekert tells her. “I know you’re excited, but don’t overwhelm people.”

“Yes, Sir. I just know Livy will love these when she sees them.”

I noticed that Ekert chose diamonds for Sophie’s nipples. They’re beautiful and reflect the light every time she moves, especially when she’s bouncing on her toes, which she is now.

Ekert pulls a chair up to the indicated case, and I settle on it with Olivia on my lap, supporting her back just in case she sways. She’s got better control today though. I think she’s steady enough to keep from falling over.

Her breath hitches as she leans over the counter. “Oh my God. Those are so gorgeous.”

I haven’t even glanced at the stones. I’m too interested in watching Olivia’s face. She’s lit up, her eyes wide and dancing.

When she twists to look at me, she’s smiling from ear to ear. “They’re so pretty, Papi.”

I finally shift my gaze to the case in front of us. There are some amazing gems.

Ekert rounds to the other side of the display case to help sort them out.

“These, Papi,” Sophie declares. “These are perfect for Livy.”

Ekert chuckles. “You aren’t the one who will be wearing them, Baby girl. Let’s let Olivia and Chadka get a better look.” As he speaks, however, he uses a tool to push the pair of gems Sophie pointed out in our direction.

He’s right. Sophie has amazing taste. Those are the prettiest ones in the case.

Olivia gasps. “They’re so pretty.” Her voice is soft and reverent. “I had a pair of earrings that looked like that. They were my grandmothers.” She glances at me again. “I’ll never see them again.”

I hold her tighter, kissing her cheek. “I’m sorry, Baby girl.” I silently vow to replace them. It won’t be the same. They won’t have the sentimental value, but one day I will order her some earrings that make up for her loss.

“What are they?” she asks.

“That pair is garnets,” Sophie tells her. “I love the deep shade of red. And they have so many facets, so they will catch the light and sparkle.”

Olivia stares at the stones.

I hold my breath. I’m shocked that she’s entertaining this at all.

“They’re so big.” She glances at Sophie’s nipples. “Yours are too. Aren’t they heavy?”

Sophie shrugs. “I’m getting used to them. Heavy isn’t the main concern.” She giggles.

Olivia’s cheeks turn red. “Right…” Her voice trails off. She knows from talking to the Littles who come into my clinic that the piercings are arousing. These larger ones would make their presence known all the time.
