ChapterThirteen

Chadka

It turns out Sophie is an angelic, sweet Little girl who clearly adores Ekert. She clings to him, nearly always smiling.

We’ve been here an hour, and finally the girls are playing with each other. Olivia is still a bit unsteady, so to keep her from toppling over, Ekert has strapped her into a special booster seat at the small table he has in his kitchen.

The seat is supporting her back and sides so she doesn’t sway too far. The table is made for Little girls. The two of them are coloring, giving the two of us a chance to step out of ear range finally.

“You’re frowning,” Ekert tells me as we settle on the couch in his living room. We have a clear view of the girls, but we’re far enough away that we can talk freely as long as we keep our voices down.

I chuckle. “I think I’ve been frowning since we landed.” I glance at my friend. “Olivia hasn’t been overwhelmingly pleased with our arrangement.”

Ekert cringes. “I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not sure how it’s even possible. That’s kind of rare, isn’t it?”

I swipe a hand over my face. “It’s not as if the chemistry isn’t there. It’s explosive. It’s just that she’s stubborn and refuses to acknowledge our connection most of the time. That’s why her motor skills aren’t where they should be. She mostly just stared at the ceiling for the first week, unwilling to try.”

“Maybe you could cheer her up with some nice jewels,” he jokes.

I sigh. “That’s an issue she has really dug her heels in on.” I glance at her. She’s leaning over her paper, intently coloring. I bet she’s a perfectionist and refuses to color outside of the lines, which is going to be difficult without fully developed fine motor skills.

I turn back to Ekert. “The crazy thing is I know she doesn’t mind the nipple piercing. She stares at everyone else’s, squirming. I can smell her arousal from across the room. But she doesn’t like the idea of anyone telling her what to do.”

“So where do you stand on the issue now?”

I shrug. “I told her I would not pierce her until she asked me to. I’ve made it perfectly clear that I won’t tolerate her misbehaving, but I won’t force her to pierce her nipples.”

“She won’t hold out for long,” Ekert points out. “Nearly all Little girls are nervous about having their nipples pierced. Eventually, she’ll succumb to peer pressure and get tired of the other Little girls asking her why she doesn’t have pretty jewels. She won’t want anyone to think her Papi isn’t generous.”

“I agree. I have no problem holding out. She’ll come to me when she’s ready.” I glance at Ekert again. “Oh, I saw Melanie the other day. Priax brought her in to check on the clit piercing.”

“Good. How’d it look?”

“Perfect. Of course. You did a great job. I couldn’t even tell it was recent. No swelling or redness at all. Granted, I’ve never seen a single patient have a reaction to kretium. It’s completely hypoallergenic.”

Ekert nods. “I would be surprised if anyone ever had an adverse reaction to it, but I’m glad you check them out just to be sure.”

“Speaking of kretium, I would like to choose a nice bottom plug with pretty jewels. She can argue with me about piercings, but I’m going to push her on other things.”

“I can certainly help with that. As soon as the girls finish coloring, we can go into my shop and look at some stones.”

As if on cue, Sophie calls out from across the room, “Papi, can I show Livy some pretty stones? Red is her favorite color. Maybe some garnets or rubies.”

Ekert chuckles. “Yes, Little one. As soon as you finish, we’ll go into the shop.”

Sophie’s face lights up and her blond curls bounce all around her from her pigtails.

I smirk. “Did your Little girl turn into a salesperson?”

Ekert nods. “Don’t laugh. She has an unbelievable eye for fine gems. I was stunned the first time she sat in my lap and looked at them. She will undoubtedly put your Little girl at ease in my shop.”

I smile. “I’m so glad to hear that. Olivia is a nurse. I’m planning to let her help out in my clinic in some capacity. I was worried how that might look to others. It’s rather unconventional. I know most of the Little girls who have arrived so far do not work at all.”

“I think you’ll find people receptive to the idea. Especially if she proves to be helpful keeping other Littles calm in the clinic.”

I nod. “That’s my hope.”

“Papi, we’re ready.” Sophie jumps up from her chair.
