My eyes opened wide as I stared at the screen. “No, she’s on her way to the Bahamas. She was supposed to be going tomorrow, but she brought it forward. She’s on her way there now.”
“Which hotel?” Harrison asked, his hands clenching in and out of fists as he paced around the suite.
“The Omega Island resort,” I said, blinking hard and staring at the screen, hoping I hadn’t made a mistake.
I opened my eyes, and the same hotel was on the screen.
“No strings attached. Leave your inhibitions at the airport...”
“Fuck... don’t talk. I know what happens on Omega Island, and I also know King is going to have to get her because we have to protect this hotel from the likes of Ian Hoults, either that or have him killed off,” Harrison said, laughing. “I’m sure King could organise that with Ronaldo.”
“Might not be such a bad idea,” I said. “But I doubt he will want to skip dinner with Ronaldo at the same time.”
Harrison sighed as he strode around the room, his hands in his pockets and deep in thought.
“Do you need me here for Ian?” Harrison finally asked. “Or will the new security system catch his sly ways?”
“Ian is the best. If anyone will scam the casino and get away with it, it’s him. He took the last three hotels for millions and each time he is getting cleverer and greedier,” I said. “Give King the choice. He goes to Omega Island or we go to England and search for her there. But she experiences Omega Island.”
Harrison groaned as he took his mobile from his pocket. “It’ll be easier for us to hire a hitman and have Ian killed.”
“Try King first and a hitman second.” I laughed. “But really, I would also love to test my system on Ian. I don’t think he can beat it and I’d love to get enough evidence on him to send him away for a very long time.”
Harrison walked away as he made a call to King and I looked through the Omega Island resort. My stomach turned. The resort was purely for omegas to have fun with alphas in the safety of the facilities and then to walk away.
And that was what she had done to Harrison and me. She’d walked away, not even run. Not that it mattered to me if she walked or ran, one way or another, she had enacted the chase.
