Chapter 15
Trent
I walk out of Jasper’s room as calmly as I can and barely make it into my own bedroom before I rip my aching cock out of the front of my pants. I stroke it exactly three times before I cum all over the floor, my knot hard and angry, unsatisfied by my orgasm.
Then I realize Nathan is right behind me, he must have been waiting for me to come out of Jasper’s room. His eyebrows are high and he’s got a stupid smirk on his face, “So, how’d it go?”
“Fuck off,” I tell him. I grab a dirty shirt to clean up my mess on the floor, and flop onto my bed. “It was so goddamned hot. If every woman was like that for a guy’s first time… Jasper wouldn’t have wanted us if she’d gotten to him first.”
“Well, that just makes me more curious. I was already jealous, but hearing all that, damn.”
He’s right. I expected more awkward fumbling and uncomfortable silences, but Jasper was touching her like he’s always done it. I know for a fact the first time I put my fingers inside a girl she didn’t have even a small orgasm, much less cum so hard she rose up off the bed the way Talia did. “He sent me to tell you all that it’s time to draw straws to see who gets to fuck him tonight. I call it. I don’t care, Devon can be pissed. After watching them, my balls are aching and my knot won’t go down. I need to fuck him.”
Nathan laughs at me and leaves me to my misery.
Talia is arguing with someone on the phone when I drag my tired ass into the kitchen the next morning. “No, we’re not doing that. Ask Devon if you want, but we’re not doing it until the week before,” she says in an imperious tone.
“Who is it?” I whisper to Kaleb, who is sitting at the table drinking coffee and doing something on his laptop.
“Alpha Johnson,” he answers quietly, his mouth twitching.
Then her voice goes clipped, “I don’t give a shit how many COTs you’re in charge of. And Jasper’s heat cycle is none of your fucking business,” and I choke on my own spit. The attitude on this girl is astounding.
Kaleb shoots a look at her, “You really shouldn't speak to alphas like that.”
She rolls her eyes at him.
“You know, Kaleb,” I say, stirring cream into my coffee, “If I hadn’t seen for myself that she doesn’t have any, I’d say her balls were bigger than mine.” His mouth twitches again, and she walks over to me, dips her fingers into my coffee, and proceeds to flick the liquid in my face. I guess seeing her naked and sucking Jasper’s soul out of him gives us the right to joke with each other. Something in my chest that I didn’t know was tight relaxes and I smile.
“Listen, I know how serious the situation is, but we simply will not be available for a single fucking thing until the week before. That gives you three weeks to pay attention to things on your end. Don’t worry about us, we’ve got things well handled. Just sit pretty for the next two weeks, and tell my mother to sit on a dick until the auction….sure you can, she’ll think it’s hilarious...Alright, talk later.”
Devon comes in and leans against the island to nurse his own coffee, “What was that about?” he asks Talia.
She huffs, and starts whisking together pancake batter, “Your father is trying to rush our agenda, but it’s a no go. We aren’t leaving this house for at least a week and a half. Which reminds me,” she turns to him and levels a hard look at him, “Do you make it a habit to discuss your omega’s heat cycle with your father?”
I choke again, on coffee this time.
He doesn’t hesitate, “Of course fucking not. Well, I did tell him we couldn’t do anything until after this heat. Did you actually tell my father to sit pretty, and to tell your mother to sit on a dick?”
Kaleb’s twitch turns into a full smile, “She also told him Jasper’s heat cycle is none of his fucking business.”
Devon looks at her like she’s done him a grievous injustice, “You can’t talk to my father like that. He’s on the council, for fuck sake. He’s the head of the entire fucking military.”
She shrugs and spoons batter into the pan she put on the burner, “He can’t talk about Jasper’s heat.”
Devon sighs heavily, and moves on.
“Do we have everything we need?” he asks, and I think he’s talking to me about weapons so I start to answer, but he’s talking to Talia. He’s asking if we have everything we need to get through Jasper’s heat.
“I think so. The only thing we may need is more laundry detergent, but we have enough for now, and everything is caught up. I’ve stocked the freezer with things I can just throw in the oven when you guys are ready for food. There’s plenty of teas and clear fluids for him. I’ve got to get my shotgun from my trunk, and the shells. I need to get a new bat, though, the last alpha I had to deal with kept my old one. Do you know if you have one here? I like an aluminum one, but I’m not picky. I’m going to put things out where I can get to them, but the shotgun and the bat will stay close. Maybe not a bat, maybe the hatchet from the shed…” she trails off.
We’re all staring at her.
“Why do you need a full armory?” I ask her.
She does that trick where she flips a pancake without using a spatula and replies after she catches it, “You five are going to be lost in the heat madness. We were just targeted for an invasion. I’m glad Nathan put out all the new security stuff, but I need to be able to take care of things if something like that happens while you guys are busy. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe while you take care of Jasper.” Then she winks at me. I like this new side of her very much. I’m enjoying this playfulness between us that wasn’t there before.
Nathan finds an aluminum bat for Talia. It’s a kids’ bat, but she says that works better for her; and Kaleb does end up adding the hatchet to her arsenal.
