“Really?” I choke out. “What about the kids?”

“Never thought about it either, and I’m not now. I don’t suddenly want to breed because I’ve fallen in love. I mean, what is that all about?” he asks, waggling his eyebrows comically, making me laugh.

“Breed,” I snort. “Thank you for saying all of that, but what about the others?” I chew my lip worriedly.

“You won’t know what they think, unless you ask them.”

Another good point.

“Yeah,” I say and then pull him to me for a kiss. He cups my face and bends down from his immense height to give me the reassurance I need that he is telling the truth and that he won’t try to convince me otherwise further down the line.

“You’ll have my back when I talk to them?” I ask quietly.

“Always,” he says and with a quick kiss to my nose, he pulls my top back down. It occurs to me that I may need to add another engraving onto my back, but now isn’t the time. I don’t know how things will go with Cillian. It’s too new and with all of this shit about to go down, who knows what will happen. Luckily Layton doesn’t mention it either, so we squeeze out of the enclosed space and head back to our seats, just in time to land at Manchester Airport, right on schedule.
