I downed the liquor, expecting a burn, but it was smooth instead and probably worth more than my monthly paycheck. I could do with another just to pretend none of this was happening.

“What am I supposed to tell my mom and sister?” I whispered. They’d come up here to Vegas with me to see me get married.

"Doesn't matter." Axel set his drained glass down. "People believe whatever they want."

“Can I have some time?” I asked, staring into my shot glass. “To spend with my family. Tell them goodbye.”

“Sure, after the thirty days,” Nathan taunted.

“Come on, let’s go.” Alex grabbed my arm, hauling me up.

I jerked to get away, but he held on tight. “Let me go. I can walk by myself.”

Drake chuckled. “She going to be fun if she’s rebellious like this the whole time.”

Ignoring him, I kept yanking against Axel's hold on me as they led me out in the hallway to a backdoor. My heart hammered in my chest. These guys were probably rich enough to make someone disappear if they wanted. Before I could scream, we were outside in the alley and a black limo waited. Nathan opened the backdoor and slid inside, patting the seat next to him. He looked like a hot country and western singer.

Axel pushed me inside and I fell face-first into Nathan's lap. With my face on fire, I pushed up, trying to scoot backward out of the car. Axel blocked my escape attempt, giving me a stinging slap on my ass. “Sit down.”

Embarrassment surged through me. What would they do to me once they got me alone? "Driver, I-I'm being taken against my will.” My voice sounded strained and raw.

"Well, that's too bad." Drake lowered the screen from behind the steering wheel and turned on the car. "And here I thought you were ours as agreed upon. Have you changed your mind?"

"This is your one and only chance to back out." Nathan's voice had a hard edge to it. Almost like he was daring me to chicken out.

If I said yes, there was no guarantee that they'd let me go. And I'd lose the bet. Part of me wanted to run and never look back. Another wanted to prove to myself and Stephen that I could do this. Afterward, I would never have to work again. Never have to have a boss tell me what to do and work for pennies. I could do whatever I wanted. Go on trips anytime and anywhere just because I felt like it.

I shook my head but clenched my fists. Especially when part of me worried that these guys might not take my rejection too well either.

"Good girl." Axel leaned back in the seat and closed his eyes.

Both Axel and Nathan's legs pressed on either side of mine. The limo felt thirty degrees hotter than it had a moment ago. We passed the city limits and the air stuck in my chest.

"Where are we going?" Had they done all this to just dump my body in the desert somewhere? I could see the headlines now… woman killed and buried by three gorgeous men, and she should’ve known better than to trust them. “What about my hotel room and luggage?”

“It’s being taken care of,” Drake said.

Exasperated, I threw my hands up in the air. “Whatever. Now tell me where you are taking me.”

None of them answered me or gave a hint as to where I was going. I moved to leap out of the seat when Axel let out a low growl. "Stay put or I'll hold you on my lap until you behave."

My whole body heated at the images my mind created. And my nipples hardened in response. Why was my body acting so turned on to strangers? I’d never been turned on so fast and to be doing so now was crazy. There had to be something wrong with me. I stared straight ahead out the front window. Drake's blue eyes met mine in the rearview mirror like he knew I was aroused.

Quick. I had to think of something else. None of these three were going to give me an easy time in this situation. What did I expect though? They'd practically bought me. A chill raced down my spine.

We pulled up to a black, iron gate that swung open and must have been at least twelve feet tall. We followed a road for several miles, but there was no sign of a building or anything. Just lots of grass and trees... almost like we were heading into the heart of a forest and my chest tightened. What if these guys were serial killers or something? Like they could've killed Stephen, which was why he wasn't answering me, and now they had me right where they wanted. They could torture and murder me and we were so far from everyone and everything that no one would hear me scream.

The long driveway led to a mansion surrounded by woods. It looked almost like an image from a photo with its white walls and large windows covering the front. The place looked like it was carved from marble and was bigger than a football field with three floors. Lilies dotted the outside of a stone path. A water fountain showing three stone wolves lay in the middle of the circular path in front of the home. Lace curtains covered the windows, which sparkled in the setting sun. And the entire thing looked like it had been conjured out of a magazine.

By why was it way out here in the middle of nowhere? All those horror shows I watched growing up with the monster dragging its victim to a remote location so no one would hear them came flooding back.

"It's almost time." Drake shut off the engine.

"Time for what?" I hoped they'd say dinner or their favorite TV show. But there was a tension in the limo that I could almost reach out and touch.

"Get her inside quick." Axel opened the limo door and exited without looking back at me.

"I-I changed my mind. Take me back to the casino." My breaths turned into pants. I couldn’t do this. Go into a home with three sexy strangers. They could do anything to me, and no one would ever know, but me. How could I face Stephen or anyone after that?
