“Grab that coffee,” Morgan said. “Let’s go do something before you have to pick up Lila.”
“Beforewepick up Lila,” Danielle corrected.
Morgan had quickly become a steady presence in Lila’s life, even though they were officially taking things slow. Lila seemed as thrilled with the turn of events as Morgan was.
“Oh, yes. We. You’re stuck with me,” Morgan said with a wink. “So, where do you want to go? Maybe thrifting? The craft store? We haven’t done those in a while, and I know Layla hates doing them with us.”
Danielle smiled, her heart full and light at the same time.
“Wherever you want to go,” she said. “I’m with you.”
