I scoffed and used Black Widow’s Bluetooth in her helmet to call Tex.

“What are you up to?” Tex asked.

“Fact finding mission.” I told him with a smirk.

“Why is it I age ten years when you rogue types say that phrase?” Tex asked. “The last person who said that to me, wound up with a henchman in his trunk.”

“Sounds like my kind of man.”

“Really?” Tex drawled sexily. “I thought Jesse was your kind of man.”

I chewed on my bottom lip, heat swarming my cheeks as a beautiful quiver raced from between my legs all the way up to tighten my nipples. “We’ll talk about that later.”

“Sure, we will.” Tex chuckled. “What you need?”

I didn’t think he believed me. The truth was, I couldn’t blame him. I wasn’t known for talking about my personal life. My anti-social behaviour only got worse after the incident with Striker’s team.

I sighed.

“Can you find my location?” I asked him. “The Widow’s helmet is live.”

“Hold yourself for a moment.” Tex teased. “Why are you in Konik? That place is a bottleneck. You don’t have the manpower for that.”

“I know that.” I told him. “But Striker is here. I want to end this—I have plans of asking Jesse out and I can’t have Striker in the back of my mind while I’m trying to do that. I need this closure,”

Tex sighed.

“We believe he’s set up a new headquarters outside of Mountain Head.” I continued. “He’s been trying to recruit more soldiers, that’s how Widow and Lizard found him.”

“That can’t be good.” Tex muttered. “He seems to be pretty deep in.”

“Yeah. But I don’t know which building.” I told him. “Widow narrowed it down to this area using the aerials you provided. She’s with Lizard trying see if we can find the location. But I feel like we’re around in circles.”

“That’s because you didn’t call the master.”

“Oh, your ego just keeps getting bigger.” I laughed.

“Among other things.”

“John Keegan!”

“When you walked into that tent all those years ago.” He laughed boisterously. “You signed up for this.”

I groaned. “Ugh. It’s the fine print that’ll kill you.”

Tex chortled then cleared his throat. “Okay, I might have figured out the place.” Tex explained. “The signals coming from that one property has different identifiers that are American. By the way, Tink has the house covered.”

“Cool.” I replied.

Tex laughed like an evil genius.

“Do I want to know?”

He sent images that were obviously from Striker’s computer to the helmet.

“You hacked his camera, didn’t you?” I shook my head. “Point me in the direction of it then send Widow and Lizard my way.”

“Your wish is my command, Lady Frost.”
