He’s got his hands shoved deep in his pockets, calm, like he’s about to drop a bomb on me that will leave me speechless for the rest of my life.
And then there’s Karl. Always the wildcard. He stands there, just a little too still, but I can see the glint in his eyes. The one that says he’s the mastermind behind all of this. The one who’s been planning, scheming, probably getting in on all the little details without me even knowing.
His lips twitch, that dangerous smile tugging at the corners. I know, I know, that this moment is something he’s been building up to, and right now, he’s savoring every second of it.
My breath hitches in my chest as the weight of the moment presses down on me. They’re all here, ready to ask me the question. And I know I’m not going anywhere without them.
I swallow hard, trying to find my voice in this whirlwind of emotions that’s threatening to choke me. Jesse looks at me, his expression soft but steady, and for a moment, time seems to freeze.
“Olivia,” he starts, “We’ve been through more than we ever expected. More than we ever thought we could handle. But what we’ve learned… is that we don’t just want you in our lives.” His eyes flick to Leo, then Karl. “We want all of you. In every way. For the rest of our lives.”
His words hit me like a tidal wave. I glance at Leo, who’s already nodding, his smile turning into something more serious, though that playful spark is still there, lurking just beneath the surface.
“We don’t just want you as part of our lives, Liv,” Leo says. “We want you to be ours. Completely. All of us. Forever.”
I can’t help the flutter in my chest at his words. But it’s Karl who steps forward next, his usual teasing tone replaced by something that makes my stomach tighten. “We’re not asking you to be part of our future, Liv. We’re asking you to be ours. In every way that matters.”
I blink, trying to process what they’re saying. My brain races to catch up with my heart, which feels like it’s about to burst out of my chest.
“Wait, really?” I stammer, barely believing the words coming out of their mouths.
Jesse opens the velvet boxes, revealing the rings inside. Each one seems to glisten under the fading light of the day, each one representing not just a commitment, but a bond that’s deeper than anything I could have dreamed of.
“Will you marry us, Liv?” Jesse asks, filled with a love so intense that it steals my breath away. “Will you be ours? All of ours?”
The air in my lungs is suddenly gone, and I feel dizzy with the weight of the moment. I’m standing on a porch, in front of three men who have turned my life upside down in the most incredible way, asking me to give myself to them in a way I never thought possible.
I laugh, the sound shaky, almost nervous. “Are you serious? I mean… of course, yes! I can’t even believe I’m here. If you’d told me six months ago that I’d be standing here with three men proposing to me in the most Coyote Glen way possible, I would’ve laughed. Or maybe just… snorted my coffee out.”
Jesse’s eyes soften with the kind of love that makes everything feel right. And then I look at Leo, that intense fire in his eyes, and at Karl, whose wicked grin is now full of something else. More tender. Vulnerable.
And I know, deep in my soul, that I’ve already made up my mind.
“Yes,” I say, barely a whisper at first, but then louder, more confident. “Yes. Yes, a thousand times yes.”
The universe seems to hold its breath. Time pauses. For one perfect, suspended moment, nothing exists except the four of us.
Before I can even catch my breath, Leo is on me, his lips crashing into the side of my neck, his hands cupping my face as he pulls me toward him.
His kiss is hungry, raw, full of that desperate need that I’ve come to love so much about him. His mouth moves against mine with a fervor that makes my pulse race.
Then, from behind me, Karl sweeps in, his arms wrapping around me like he’s never letting go. His kiss is fiery, demanding, and I melt into it.
He kisses me like he’s marking me, because I’m the center of his world, and damn it, I don’t ever want him to stop.
Their hands are everywhere. On my arms, my waist, my skin, their bodies pressing close in a way that leaves me breathless, I’m drowning in them, in their love, in their hunger. Their promises of forever.
When we pull back, I’m gasping, my skin flushed, my heart racing in my chest.
“Wow,” I manage to laugh, still reeling from the intensity of it all. “I really do love you all.”
In that moment, I know something more profound than love. It’s more than the steady beat of our hearts. It’s the feeling that this, this connection between us, is forever.
This is mine, and I’m theirs.
And just like that, I know that we’re just getting started.
