“You need torest. If we carry on, you might be too sore to do anything tomorrow.”Nodding, I tried not to pout too much.“Oh, what have I created? You are acting like some deprived sex demon!”Darce snorted, pulling me back against his chest.“How about a shoulder massage instead?”
I hated to admit it, but the heat of the water was making me realise how much my body ached from all our activities.A massage was just what I needed.
“I’ll take your silence as a yes,” he muttered into my ear as his hands began to rub my neck. His talented fingers felt so wonderful, I nestled back against him.
Nisha’s words echoed in my mind as we lay in the bath in comfortable silence while Darce worked out all the knots on my shoulders with his fingers.
The events have been set in motion. You and the prince are entwined until fate runs its course.
We were now more connected than I ever could have imagined.Giving myself to him had only deepened my feelings.Wherever Darce went, I would gladly follow.Running away by jumping veils didn’t seem so crazy anymore.
To be with him, I would risk it all.My birthright, the chance to rule Dallethas one day, none of that mattered anymore.
In a strange way, I felt as if we were two sides of the same coin.Somehow, we would work out our fate and stay united. There was no other future that either of us would accept now.
Darce taking my purity had assured me that I would always be his, and judging by the way he gently took me, he would always be mine, too.
Peace in Afterlight Veil: that was all I wanted. The chance for Darce and I to love freely was what we needed to work towards.
It was easier said than done, though.
Chapter Twenty nine
Nyx gave me a sly smileas she crouched, ready to strike. Her sword was behind her back, but I’d already anticipated her move.Retreating back a little, I spun as she charged, dodging her attack.
“Fuck, Darce! You’ve trained her better thanme!”she snorted, putting her sword away.
“I told you Lora was a firecracker,” he replied, looking at me in awe.
I had been in Eallarim for over a week and had never felt so welcomed.
Darce had opened up his city to me, showing me everything it had to offer.
Noxlin’s were far more advanced than us in a lot of ways, but what stood out the most was their freedom.Freedom to worship Holy Ether in theirownway, freedom to make an income and life for themselves, and most importantly, the freedom to love wildly.
Everyone was equal here, and it made me wonder if Dallethas could have the same values one day under a different leadership.
