Her friend sat back and stared at her with an open mouth. It flopped open and shut a few times.
“Athena. I’m…” Pam shook her head. It was rare Pam was rendered speechless. For a second, Athena thought she’d broken her friend. “The owner of the Turin? He’s like a gazillionaire!”
“I know.” Athena groaned. She reached up and tucked her thick hair behind her ear. She had no business sleeping with him, but there was no way she would resist. If he stepped in the diner now, she may have to ditch her friend for another roll in the sack.
They paused their conversation while the waitress brought out their food and refilled their drinks. Athena’s stomach let loose a growl, reminding her she needed sustenance.
“So what is this between him and you? Was it just a booty call?”
“I don’t know, but he did leave me his number.”
“When are you calling him?”
