“How many people?”
“Twenty-one total.”
“Hmmm… The AV study room might be tight as that’s pretty much right at capacity.”
He laughed. “That’s fine. We’ve been packed in at the rec center too.”
“We do have a larger meeting room that seats seventy-five. But you’d need to specify that you’d need the AV equipment every time you reserved it since it’s not out by default in there.”
He shook his head. “The smaller room is fine.”
“Ok.”
I opened the scheduler on the computer. “When were you thinking you’d want to meet?”
“We were hoping for something on Thursday evenings.”
A little thrill went through me. That meant that I’d get to see this gorgeous alpha on a regular basis.
I scrolled through the past several months of bookings for the room. “It looks like later is better. Eight or after.”
“What time do you close?”
“Ten on Monday through Saturday, six on Sundays.”
He nodded. “Eight to ten is perfect.”
“Ok.” I checked the calendar. “When would you like to start?”
“Next week, if possible.”
I clicked the date and hovered my fingers over the keyboard. “What name should I put the reservation under?”
“How about Valle Granja Wildcats.”
I smiled. “Eight to ten, next Thursday night for the Wildcats. And shall I go ahead and set up the reservation for the following three weeks as well?”
“Please.”
I set the reservation to repeat. “You’ll probably want to talk to me or somebody else at the desk before or after every meeting to keep the room reserved for as far out as possible. But otherwise you’re ready to go.”
“Great!” He gave me a stunning smile that nearly made my cock jump to attention. “I’ll see you next Thursday then.”
I nodded. “Next Thursday.”
He rapped his knuckles against the counter, smiled again, then strode out.
It was only when he was out of sight that I allowed myself to squirm with desire. An alpha that hot would never look at a man like me as a potential mate, but damn if I wasn’t going to enjoy the eye-candy every time he walked through the library doors.
Chapter 2
~February~
“Ok, spill,” Jace demanded, holding his beer bottle between two fingers and dangling it over the table. “You’ve been excited to get to work on Thursdays for a month now. At first I thought it was some new show you were watching, but you haven’t geeked out on me about anything on TV. So there’s something different about Thursdays that’s got you all giddy, and I wanna know what’s up.”
I chuckled and took a swig of my own beer. “Don’t believe that it’s something work related?”
He snickered. “Not really, considering I’m technically your supervisor. I haven’t assigned any new projects, and if I had, anything that got you as eager as you’ve been on Thursdays would have been completed long ago.”
