Chapter 13 - Theo

 ~End of January~

Ipaced back and forth in my apartment, waiting for a text message from Jordan.

I’d last heard from my alpha as he boarded the plane in Berlin, when he’d informed me that he was going to do a bit of work on the flight, then get some sleep before landing in San Francisco.

That had been thirteen hours before, and I was expecting him to let me know that he’d landed any moment.

My phone chimed with a notification, and I swiped it awake.

 I’m home.

I breathed out a sigh of relief. He was home. That meant only two more days until I saw him again.

 I sent a reply.I can’t wait to see you.

Two days. Two days until I was surrounded by his scent. Two days until I felt his lips against mine.

I whined. Two days was far too long. I needed him right then.

How had I ever thought I could live without him? Why had I wasted so much time running?

I stared at my phone, remembering the months that I’d blocked him, how I’d forced him to chase me.

 It was my turn.

I scrolled through my contacts until I found Cody’s number.

“Hey Theo,” he said as he answered. “What’s up?”

“You sent Jordan a Christmas card, right?”

 “Yeah.”

“Do you still have his address?”

There was a beat of silence, then he laughed. “Let me get Wes on the phone.”

“What?” I protested, but he was already gone.

I briefly considered hanging up, then Wes came on the line.

“You’re going to him?” he asked.

I took a deep breath. “Yes.”

He chuckled. “Pack a bag. I’ll have a car pick you up in twenty minutes to take you to the airport.”

 “Wait. What?”

“Did you forget? I’ve got my own plane. I’ll have the flight crew ready to go by the time you get to the airport.”

 “But… I…”

“Have put this off for too long,” he interrupted. “It’s time for you to show him what he means to you too.”

I froze. Wes was right. After all, wasn’t that why I was planning on going in the first place.
