“Is that wise?”
“I don’t know. But he’s my omega. I know that to my core. I can’t just turn my back on him, especially after seeing how emotional he was about it all.”
Wes nodded. “What do you need from me?”
I smiled. He really was the best friend a man could have. “The name of your realtor. No matter what happens between Theo and I, I’m moving here. I want to be near the baby.”
He nodded. “What else?”
“The best place to take Theo for dinner.”
Cody waddled in and took a spot next to Wes. “The Overlook.”
“Hmm?”
He smiled. “There’s a restaurant if you keep driving up Cliffside. It goes up and ends at this restaurant at the top: The Overlook. Gorgeous place, and Theo always thought it was a romantic place for a date. Since there’s no way to get a reservation at La Cravate Noire on such short notice, that’s your best bet.”
“Thank you.”
Cody nodded. “I want to see him happy, and given how he’s been acting, I think he’ll be happy with you. If he gives himself a chance.”
“I hope so.”
Cody smiled, then leaned in and kissed Wes. “Why don’t you go get the card for the realtor. She should be working today.”
Wes smiled. “Ok.”
I watched Wes walk out, then turned to Cody.
Cody sighed. “Be gentle with Theo. He thought he was doing the right thing… not the not telling you part. But…”
I nodded. “He didn’t want you and Wes to have to referee if we ended up fighting.”
“Yeah.”
“His heart was in the right place.”
“Maybe… I wish he’d talked to me about it first. I would have told him to go for it.”
“Wes told me to go after Theo,” I replied with a chuckle.
He smiled. “Good to know.” He then paused. “Did you bring any clothes?”
I shook my head. “I kinda hopped on a plane with no plan.”
“We’ll get you downtown for some shopping.”
“I appreciate it.”
“I hope you two can be happy together.”
“Me too.”

I forced myself to breathe as I waited for Theo to come down from his apartment.
I’d managed to give him space all day, instead focusing on buying enough clothes to last me for a few days and talking with Wes’s realtor.
