Dom reached out, paused, then took a step towards me. “Scott?”

“Yes?” I breathed, looking up at him.

 “May I kiss you?”

 Oh fuck yes.

 “Yes,” I breathed.

He leaned in, and I couldn’t hold in the slight whimper of desire that escaped as his lips brushed mine. They were warm and soft, and his breath tasted slightly of tiramisu as I opened my mouth to his.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, keeping him close as our tongues teased and played.

By the time we parted I was lightheaded and rock-hard, his matching erection pressed against me.

I panted as I stared into his blue eyes, wanting to invite him back to my place, while wondering if that would make things too fast.

Dom gave me a second—chaste—kiss, then stepped back, putting a bit of space between us. “I’ll see you Thursday?”

I nodded, still out of breath and wanting to pull him against me again. The only thing stopping me was the pained expression on his face. He was being chivalrous, and struggling every bit as much as I was.

I could give him this, and wait a few days.

He smiled. “I’ll call you later to finalize details.”

“Ok,” I breathed, already missing the feel of his lips on mine.

His eyes flicked to my lips, then back to meet my gaze. “Thursday…”

 “Thursday.”

He nodded, then awkwardly shuffled off, obviously struggling to walk properly with a tent in his jeans.

I shuddered and slumped against my car. I’d have to deal with my own aching cock later, but right then I just needed to process the day.

I unlocked my car and dropped into the driver’s seat. I took several deep breaths, then pinched myself.

It couldn’t have been real, right?

 I yelped at the pain.

 Apparently it was real.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it free and smiled at the text.

Have a good night Scott. I’ll get the details for the haunted maze and call tomorrow evening. -Dom

It hadn’t even been a full five minutes since we’d parted, and I already couldn’t wait to see him again.

 Chapter 4 - Dom

Ilaid in bed and stared up at the ceiling. Sleep was impossible, not when I could still feel the ghost of Scott’s lips against mine.

One taste—one night—wasn’t enough. How could it be when he was the most incredible omega I’d ever met?

Maybe I’d been too focused on my career. It had been a while since I’d last been on a date, but the unpredictable hours of a large animal vet made it difficult at times. Still, I knew in my soul that there hadn’t been a man like Scott in the little town in Wyoming I’d left.

I closed my eyes, and was immediately bombarded with visions of Scott: his dazzling smile, laughing blue eyes, and brown curls that begged for me to run my fingers through them.
