I shook my head. “I’ve got a condo in San Francisco.”
“I see.”
He got in and I leaned across the center for a kiss, which he granted.
Just the simplest touch of his lips against mine had the ability to send tingles throughout me, and I wondered if I’d ever get used to it.
The soft growl Cadence let out told me that he felt the same.
He pressed another kiss to my lips, which I chased when he pulled back.
“We’d better get going, or we’ll miss our reservation,” he chuckled after several more kisses.
I whined, ready to tell him to forget dinner and fuck me instead. But I managed to put a bit of space between us and nodded. “Ok.”
Cadence drove along the row of multi-million dollar houses, away from the city center and up the cliff. Finally he pulled into the parking lot of what appeared to be a popular restaurant.
He opened the door for me, and offered an arm. “Shall we?”
I smiled and accepted, allowing him to lead me into the restaurant. From there the hostess escorted us to a table on the patio, which overlooked the ocean.
“It’s gorgeous,” I said. I’d been in plenty of high-end and exclusive restaurants, but few boasted views like this.
Cadence chuckled, leaned in and pressed a kiss to my cheek. “I’m glad you like it.”
“Do you mind if I take some photos?” I asked.
Cadence grinned. “Go ahead, omega-mine.”
The term made a shiver of need dance up my spine, and I felt a bit of slick start to coat between my cheeks. Soon enough my alpha would make that claim real, and I couldn’t wait.
I took out my phone and took photos of the view, the building, and even the menu, so that I would have something to review later. When I put my phone down again, I looked up to see Cadence smiling softly at me.
“What’s up?” I asked.
He chuckled. “You must really like photography.”
I smiled and winked. “Just a bit.”
He leaned in. “What else do you like?”
Your thick knot buried in my ass?
My cock twitched at the stray thought. I hadn’t had a taste of that knot yet, but something told me I’d have absolutely no complaints.
His eyes darkened and I realized that enough slick had escaped for him to smell it. I swallowed, trying to wrestle my mind back from the gutter.
“I-I love travel,” I managed, “and world cuisine. What about you?”
I watched the same internal struggle of desire versus polite conversation play out on Cadence’s face, and I giggled at how in-tune we were.
“I enjoy music,” he finally answered. “Everything from a classical performance to techno. It’s incredible to hear how many ways a collection of sounds can be manipulated to create it all.”
I nodded. “I know a ton of great places for music.”
“Really?”
I smiled at the interest in his eyes. “Yeah, I’m sure we can find some fantastic music for you wherever we go.”
