Her smile left too.

“You’ll get the right people in place and turn it all around. I don’t say it enough, but I have total confidence in you. We’ll be just fine.”

She nodded her head, as they stared into each other’s eyes. And then his face began to move down to her face and he captured her mouth with a kiss. Sweet at first. And easy. And hard and long and with so much passion that he turned her around on his lap to face him, opened her legs to straddle him, and then pressed the button that locked his office door.

And then he ripped the seat of her panties with a hard tear and prepared her with his fingers as he continued to kiss her. And then he entered her slow and big. The tip and thenthe whole thing. She leaned her head back, her anxiety replaced with pure joy, as she rode that wave.

They made love for nearly half an hour with no interruptions whatsoever, which shocked them both. And then, once complete, they collapsed into each other’s arms and remained in that chair, with him still deep inside of her, for as long as they possibly could.

Alex had no idea that the brother he’d heard about all his life but never met, the man he was taught to despise with a bitter disposition, was well on his way.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

For the first two hours of the three-hour flight to Florida, Marcellus was in the cockpit with his pilots. Savannah sat near the back of the plane with more leg room than she thought was possible on a plane. She could stretch out all the way, and she did. That entireprivate planeexperience was new to her. She always assumed private planes were like those two small planes that crashed across the street from Marcellus’s mansion. The kind of planes that seated eight to ten passengers and looked cozy, but never that comfortable.

But Marcellus’s plane was a jumbo jet, capable of seating nearly four hundred people. And the only people on that massive plane was herself, Marcellus, and his pilots and flight crew. A crew, she also noticed, that constantly asked if she was okay, if she needed anything, could they do anything for her. She knew Marcellus ordered them to be so solicitous to her, but she loved it. She’d rarely been treated so well.

Thanks to the technology onboard such an advanced private jet, her cell phone rang. When she saw it was Tyla, she smiled and happily answered. “Hey girl.”

“Don’t hey girl me. Are you okay? You haven’t been answering my texts.”

Savannah hadn’t even bothered to check her texts. “My bad. But I’m good. How are you?”

“What do you mean you’re good? You found a job?”

At first Savannah was confused. Why was she asking her such a question? Then she realized, just last night, she was in her apartment searching frantically for a job when knocks wereheard on her front door. She told Tyla she’d get back with her and never did. Which meant Tyla knew nothing about the complete turnaround in her life. “They found Niko,” she said happily.

“And?”

“And he reinstated me. At least he will when I get back.”

“Get back? Back from where?”

“I had to fly out of town, but I’ll be back later today or tomorrow.”

“Wait a minute now girl. What you mean you had to fly out of town? Where you going? And with who? Niko?”

Savannah wasn’t ready to say too much, especially since she wasn’t sure what to say herself. “No, I’m with his father.”

“Hisfather?” Then it seemed to register with Tyla. “Oh no you’re not! Are you telling me you’re on his private jet? That you’re actually going somewhere with Marcellus Drakos thebillionaire?”

Savannah smiled Tyla had such an expressive voice. “Yes.”

“He’s been all over the news girl!”

“I know.”

“Two planes collided and crashed right in front of his house.”

“Yes I know, I know. I saw it when it happened.”

There was a pause. “You did?”

“Yes.”

Then she could tell Tyla was putting two and two together. “Wait a minute,” she said. “Who was knocking on your door last night?”

Savannah leaned back. “Nobody really.”
