“I’m confused,” I say.

“So am I,” Loki says.

“Dawn Boggess is a big girl,” Lazarus says. “Looking for someone to take care of her... needs, she connected with Grant on a forum that matches women with plenty of curves with men who like meat on their bone.”

“Okay,” I nod slowly.

“Dawn caught wind of Grant’s reputation and skills and she set her sights on him. After a few messages, they had a date to meet,” Lazarus explains.

“Okay,” I repeat.

“Once Dawn came into the picture, things became complicated for poor Grant,” Lazarus explains.

“Why do I sense there’s more to the story,” Loki says.

“It took us longer to figure out who was behind all of this because we were focusing on Dark Compulsion’s members—and former ones—and Magnus,” Talbot explains. “We never suspected the person would be related to Kyla in someway.”

“Nordica is Dawn Boggess—”

“What?” Loki interrupts Lazarus. “She’s the hacker?”

“Yes,” Lazarus confirms.

“Dawn became jealous and unleashed her fury.” Everyone’s attention shifts to Lance.

“So we’re talking about a love triangle gone bad?” Loki asks.

“As I said before, this is about greed,” Lazarus reminds us. “Grant couldn’t choose between Dawn and his other favorite… Glenda.”Ah, Big Ass Glenda.“From what we were able to read, both women had veryparticularskills.” I guess Dawn is as talented as Glenda at fanning her ass over Grant’s face.

“Wow,” I say.

“Unbelievable,” Loki says.

“Fishing out cyber-criminals or cyber-bullies is hard enough. Dawn is a hacker with a vendetta to settle and some mad computer skills. She found a way to turn Grant’s phone into a zombie phone.”

“A what?” Loki and I ask in unison.

“Dawn compromised Grant’s phone remotely,” Lazarus explains. “When Grant backed up his Samsung on his laptop, she had a field day and turned his computer into zombie as well.”

“Why?” I ask.

“If Grant chose Glenda over her, she was going to drag his ass into the mud and take everyone with him. She was after blood and didn’t care who got caught in her whirlwind of vengeance,” Lazarus says.

“It didn’t take Dawn long to find the women Grant had been in contact with,” Talbot adds. “When she noticed Kyla’s name, she figured she’d hit the Power Ball.”

“The question was, how was she going to do the most damage to get the most money out of this?” Stewart’s words are unsettling.

“How?” Loki asks.

“Dawn’s sister, Denver, is the celebrity blogger behind Dash Bash—”

“That blog is pure filth!” I say, interrupting Stewart.

“So, you know who we’re talking about?” he asks.

“I do,” I nod. “Every word on Dash Bash drips with envy and resentment. It’s not news. It’s hate. It’s very clear the person behind it is jealous of anybody and everybody. Her blog is her only means to spew her venom into the world. My cousins own CheckMate Public Relations and some of their clients have been viciously attacked by Denver.”

“I’ve heard of CheckMate,” Stewart says.
