TWELVE
KYLIE
I’d never fired a gun before. Not a real one, anyways.
My hands were shaking as I wiped specks of goo from my cheek. The jello-things, the Mujugs, Jaxir called them. They were disgusting brainless creatures. They stunk, and they wanted us dead. They were even more hideous than the blob aliens from Star Shield 3.
How many times had I been in this position, except instead of a gun I had a controller or a VR-mask on? A million times, at least. It was like I’d trained for this my whole life without actually realizing it.
My heart was pounding, but not from fear. This was exhilarating in a way that I could not explain.
I looked over at Jaxir, who was working on the computer, hunched over and typing furiously.
The lights dimmed and then surged brightly.
Manual drive engaged. Warning AI has been disconnected, please reconnect.
Jaxir let out a long sigh. “Got it,” He said.
Please reconnect. The computer voice said again.
“No thanks,” Jaxir said to the computer. He punched a few more buttons and brought up the emergency system to call for help.
My body buzzed with adrenaline. I pressed my lips together, fighting the urge to grab Jaxir and kiss him again. I wanted to. I wanted to feel him against me and kiss him passionately like before. I’d never had a kiss that good, and I didn’t want it to be my last one.
I padded over and put my hand over his, just as he was about to press the SOS button.
Jaxir looked at me with his golden eyes. “What is it?”
“I was thinking,” I said slowly. “Maybe we could hold off on the emergency SOS for a little while longer. We’re safe in here for now.”
Jaxir furrowed his brow.
“How about we pick up where we left off?” I asked. My heart vibrated thanks to the mix of lust and anxiety that was coursing through my body.
Jaxir’s eyes widened with realization, and he grinned. “Oh, is that what you want?” He pulled away from the computer and put his hands on my waist. “Did I leave you craving more?” He asked.
I nodded, throwing my arms around his shoulders and kissing him.
The alien’s touch was electric across my body. All my nerves were standing on end, waiting for their turn to be caressed by his strong hands. I kissed him as if I were poisoned, and his lips were the antidote.
I must have been going crazy with lust. There was no other explanation for my overpowering need. Was this what Zexians meant when they talked about fated mates? This unbreakable desire to mate? No, that couldn’t be it.
“I want you,” Jaxir said.
Any scrap of self-control that I was hanging onto slipped from my grasp. I broke away from him and unzipped the baggy black suit.
Jaxir grinned, pulling off the fabric and looking my body up and down. He tugged me back towards him, his hands stopping to feel every inch of my body.
I was exposed to him, wearing nothing but the black panties that I had under my dress when we first escaped. I should have been cold, but the heat burning in my core kept me warm.
Jaxir’s massive cock was straining in his pants.
I could feel it against my thigh as we kissed. I remembered the anatomy lesson I’d been subjected to during my Tribute Bridge training and shivered with anticipation.
Jaxir kept me waiting. He leaned me against one of the control panels and knelt at my feet. Gently, he pulled my panties down and spread my legs, using his mouth and tongue to explore my wetness.
“You taste so good, Kylie,” He whispered.
