“Holy shit!” Deacon gasped and fell on top of me, panting hard and quaking.

I spit out his underwear and swallowed several times to wet my mouth. “That was amazing, Deacon.”

He nodded, his head moving softly against mine with the action. “You better come back to me.”

I knew what he meant by that and I smiled. “Well, you better come and get me.”

He sat up a little, then leaned down, kissing my cheek. “Through hell’s fire. You can count on it.” I lifted my head and turned a bit more so we could share a kiss. His lips were hungry as they possessed mine, it was like he didn’t want to let me go. That made knowing what I had to do both harder and easier for me. Harder, because I didn’t want to lose Deacon. We tried very hard to control today’s series of events, but humans were unpredictable and there was no telling if everything would go according to our plans.

Easier, because I didn’t have any doubts about how much I meant to Deacon. We finally broke our kiss and he rolled over. His cock slid out of my body with ease, and my asshole clenched a little like it didn’t want to release him.

“Such a beautiful fuckhole for me to play with,” Deacon said, then he parted my ass cheeks and licked his cum from my hole.

“Mmmm, you know I love when you do that,” I purred.

He kissed my pucker and chuckled. “Yeah, I know.” He leaned back on the bed, hands supporting his head. “I won’t hold you up. We need everything to look like a normal day.”

I leaned over and kissed his left nipple. “This will go off without a hitch.” I hoped.

“It better,” he said.

I gave him a reassuring smile, then climbed out of bed. I had to take a shower and get dressed. The hardest thing I had to do now was try to conceal my nervousness from him. He’d probably try to abort the plan if he knew how scared I was. I’d only been a wolf for about a month. Tonight was my second full moon, and I wanted to be able to join my pack to celebrate it. I’d never done anything like this in my life and was going to be on my own. My only ally was the spy we employed. I had to have faith he wouldn’t turn on us. Shit… god help me.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

DOMINIC

“Is everyone ready?” I asked one last time.

“We ain’t going to get no more ready than we are right now,” Delilah said.

I took a look at how close she was standing next to Chandler, fingers touching… yeah, it was apparent that those two had become pretty intimate last night. Of course, I saw that coming a mile away. I turned from them and grabbed my gun loaded with silver bullets. We didn’t have a huge arsenal, just a few guns and less bullets than I liked. Regular bullets had no effect on supes. Sure, it hurt them, but wouldn’t really slow them down or kill them. Silver could kill werewolves, though.

A silver bullet straight to the heart got the job done. Vampires were harder to kill… at least, that was what I’d heard. I’d never actually killed one… or any supe, for that matter. During the Great War, my job was to help get resources to the men and women who were fighting. I had seen silver bullets take wolves out, so I knew if shit went south today, I could put a bullet in this wolf’s head and we could break out.

We all headed out to the streets to steal a few cars. I really didn’t care about the thievery, we did what we had to do. Most of humanity may have given up and joined the ranks of the supes for a better life, but I was going to continue to fight the good fight until the end. We didn’t have walkie-talkies and cell phones… all those things required money and electricity to keep working. Where we were staying, we didn’t have either, and what money we managed to get had to be spent on food.

So, that was why it was so important to make sure everyone knew the plan inside and out. We wouldn’t be able to communicate until we were all together again. Delilah and Zachery went with Chandler, while David went with me. I managed to hotwire a Jeep after I disengaged its anti-theft devices. Finally, we were on our way. I made sure to drive the speed limit, we didn’t want to get caught, especially not while driving a stolen vehicle.

“Are you nervous?” David asked me.

“Are you?” I countered.

He shrugged. “A little, but I’m ready to bring the pain to these fuckers. So, I’m more excited than nervous.”

That’s because you’re young,I thought to myself. I mean, he had just turned eighteen. Everything was an exciting experience to him. I just hoped he followed directions when the adrenaline started pumping through his veins.

“I am nervous, mainly because this isn’t my plan,” I said.

David huffed. “Damn, Dom, what do you have against Chandler? He’s been an upstanding guy.”

“My gut instinct tells me something is off.”

“Why, because Delilah likes him? You could have had her if you wanted her,” he said.

I shook my head. “I don’t care who Delilah likes. I’ve been on the streets for a long time, David. I’ve had to rely on my instincts every step of the way, so I’ve learned to trust them. Right now, I’m going against them, and it doesn’t feel right. But I also know if this plan works, we may instill hope in people again that these creatures can be hurt. So, that’s why I’m taking the chance.”

David seemed to reflect on what I’d said, then he nodded. “I like him.”
