“You like it.”
“Go. Before you’re late,” she says as she pushes my chest.
I get out of bed and stretch. My cock twitches as she checks me out.
“Like what you see?” I tease.
“You know you’re hot. Don’t try to act like you’re not.”
“Shower with me?” I ask, tempting fate.
I want to see her naked body. To lather her up with soap and wash away all the grime only to make her dirty again in other ways.
“We both know that would be a bad idea. You’re already cutting it close on time.”
She’s not wrong. If I had her wet and in the shower with me, I definitely wouldn’t be able to keep my hands to myself.
Shaking my head, I head into the bathroom. I don’t bother waiting for the water to warm up and jump in. The ice water feels like pinpricks against my skin, but it calms my raging cock. After taking a quick shower, I get out and get dressed.
Maggie is nowhere to be found in my bedroom, so I head out to the living room.
She’s standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, wearing nothing but my T-shirt. She must have slipped it on to cover the tiny tank and boy shorts she was wearing last night.
I have to bite back the urge to scoop her up, toss her onto my bed, and have my way with her.
“You heading out?” she asks.
“I will be in a minute.”
I grab my boots from next to the door and put them on.
“I hope it’s okay that I made myself some coffee.”
“It’s fine. Make yourself comfortable. What’s mine is yours,” I tell her.
“You’re sure?” she asks as she nibbles on her lip.
Standing, I walk over to her and cup the back of her head. I lean down and cover her lips with mine. She whimpers into my mouth when I pull back.
“I’m sure. You’ll stay here?”
“Yes,” she whispers.
“Good girl. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” I press one more kiss to her mouth.
“Bye. Ride safe,” she murmurs as I head for the door.
As soon as I step outside, I fight the urge to turn around. All I want to do is stay here with her, but I can’t. The sooner I meet Eagle, though, and figure out what the hell he needs, the sooner I can get back here.
Back to her.
CHAPTER
SEVENTEEN
MAGGIE
It feels weird being in Panther’s house without him, but at the same time, it feels kind of right. It’s a beautiful place. I can tell it was made with attention to detail in mind. It totally has a wood cabin feel, but it’s also homey.
