Liv yanked her arm away. “You’re insane.”

“Yeah. I’m crazy about you,” Saint admitted and peered down at Liv. “You got a problem with that?”

I gripped Saint’s collar, pulling him away from Liv, and yanked him in close. “I sure do.”

We stopped following blondie, and I pushed Saint up against a wall. His lies angered me, and I supported Liv—only out of selfishness. I wantedmylast name at the end of hers.

“Why not mine?” I asked bitterly and shook Saint against the wall. “What’s so goddamn awful about my last name?”

“Because it’s notmine.” Saint glared.

“That’s enough.” Liv pulled me off Saint and hoarsely whispered. “People are staring. Cool it.”

Liv fired a warning at both of us, and she meant business. Goddamn, she’d get me hard with those wickedly sinful eyes piercing into me like daggers.Damn, woman.

I ran my hands through my hair. “Okay. I’m calm.”

“Show’s over people,” Saint announced as he slowly spun around and dusted off his shirt. “I had something on my collar. Nothing to see here.”

The crowd dissipated, appearing confused as fuck, but I didn’t care. All I was concerned about was Saint’s deception. He fucked me over in the worse way possible by using his last name instead of mine.

Backstabbing asshole.

Okay. I fucked up, and Sin was furious. Flames of anger burned in his eyes that could set fire to this entire building while we all went up in smoke. My ass would be ashes, but I was sure that was what he’d hope for. My charred remains would be all Liv could grieve over, and he’d be the only shoulder to cry on.

Shit. I had to fix this mess. Fast.

“Listen. I’m sorry, man,” I apologized after Liv left our side and the woman from the front desk escorted us in the opposite direction of our girl. “I didn’t think. I screwed up.”

“No shit,” Sin grumbled, clearly fired up, walking faster.

“I got overly excited. Caught up in the fucking moment. When she asked whothe appointment was for, the name spit right out like diarrhea of the mouth.” I speed walked beside Sin and tried to explain my mistake to him. “Liv Sullivan came out, and goddamn, it sounded good. Our names together. Forever.”

Shit. Fucking shit. Christ. I was a shitty best friend.

“Yeah? But mine is missing.” Sin stopped and flicked me on the forehead. “Did you even think about that?”

I answered truthfully and shook my head. “No?”

Sin rolled his eyes, clearly frustrated by my response, and made a one-eighty away from the unnatural blond. We went back to the room Liv was in, and Sin moved quickly. I followed behind, hot on his trail, and we lost her, but that wasn’t the first time. She had vanished while our minor incidenttook place that I had to fucking fix.

We snuck back to room 106. Our backs were flat against the wall, and the tension was high in the air. It was shaped as a goddamn blade and thick as blood after the knife sliced. I could choke on the strain between us.

Sin tapped me on the shoulder and pointed toward the corner. He signaled for me to take a peek around the wall. I did. There was a fucker there with enormous hands. Fuck. I should’ve been morespecific and requested a woman. No way would some large motherfucker touch our girl.

I mouthed at Sin, “I got him.”

Even though we were at odds for the time being because of my stupidity, we had a mission to complete. Take out Liv’s massage therapist and hijack her appointment. We’d disguise ourselves, being the only ones to lay hands on her while concealing our identity and trying our damn best not to blow it while Liv lay there naked under a towel.

Jesus Christ.

This plan was too bad it was good.
