My eyes widened.
“Hm,” Harry nudged me forward while dragging Arun behind him. “It was funny when Christian tried blackmailing me when I already had the files.”
“Why did you agree to work with him?” I spewed.
“Why not?” He snickered. “It was an opportunity to get close to you and have fun.”
“Youpig,” I spat on his jacket.
Harrytsked. “Say sorry, Adelaide.”
“Or what?”
A sinister leer.
Rough hands grabbed the end of my ponytail and pulledhard. “Or I’ll fuck a sorry out of you whether you want it or not.”
A ferocious thought blew into my brain. Discarding the heavy drought, the pain, and the heartbreak.I missed Christian.
“You won’t do that to me,” my chin shuddered.
“Are you sure about that?” His body pressed against the side of mine.
“Leave her alone!” Arun quaked.
Harry merely chuckled and nipped my cheek before I could shove him across the room. “If the man insists,” he winked.
What did he mean by that?
Arun looked at me with pure fear.
I don’t know what to do.
He pushed me down on an armchair across the couch, while maneuvering him and Arun to the other rodents.
It’s going to be okay, I mouthed to Arun.
Harry put Arun right in the middle next to Todd and Albert. Harry grabbed the file and took a seat further away.
Albert placed a hand on Arun’s chest while Todd threw an arm over his shoulder.
“Stop it!” I got up. “Leave him alone!”
With a single finger, Harry demanded I sit back down. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you, otherwise you’ll never get these files.”
Tears fell from my eyes, reflecting Arun’s.
With or without the file, I’d get him out of here safely.
Discreetly, I pressed the button.
“Let’s take a look, shall we?” He raised his brows when I didn’t respond. Bile rose in my throat. The men were caressing Arun’s body, their disgusting touch snaking downwards towards his pants then back up.
“Photos, photos, photos,” he threw them in front of me. Majority of them were of different youngerwomen—all the interns from the past fourteen years. Then there was one. Bile rose up my chest.
Pictures of Eunbin.
Squeezing my eyes shut, tears fell down my cheeks. Leaving behind a path of molten apologies.
