“Hi yourself.”

“I’ve missed you Moira. So damned much.”

“Aye, I’ve missed you too Cord.”

Keeping her tucked into his side, they moved to her car where he pulled the suitcase from the backseat. Cord then steered them up the steps and into his home. He led her upstairs where she placed her suitcase at the foot of his California King. Cord didn’t miss the longing that glittered through her eyes when she saw the bed. He felt his dick start to harden at the thought of having her spread out beneath him on the large bed. But that was for later.

“So, how about a tour first, then we can either go out and grab a bite before we start getting ready for the concert tonight. Or option two, you can grab a shower and I’ll whip up some lunch and then you can catch a nap if you’d like.” Cord suggested.

“Would you be too disappointed if I went with option two?” Moira asked nervously.

“Moira, I wouldn’t be disappointed. I know you just spent nearly three and a half hours in the car. So, tour, shower for you, food, then a nap. We don’t have to be at the bar until five, so we have plenty of time.” Cord answered, kissing her forehead.

“Sounds like a plan boyo.” Moira nodded.

Cord

Cord had just sat the plates on the table when he caught Moira stepping into the room. She was dressed in loose yoga pants; a tank top and her red hair was now a deep burnt red and swept up in a plastic clip atop her head. “You’re just in time baby. I figured something light so went with grilled cheese sandwiches and kettle chips. And of course, sweet iced tea.”

“That sounds perfect.” She smiled.

Cord pulled out her chair for her and after she sat, he dropped a kiss to the side of her neck, making her giggle and shiver. He then moved and took his seat across form her. “How are your folks doing?”

“They’re doing good. They told me to tell you and Collen hello and hopefully soon you two can get out to DC. I know da would love to take Collen to a Nationals game. Well, you and me too if we wanted.” Moira replied.

“Collie would love that. While I have a favorite team, he just enjoys the sport for the game itself.”

“And who is your team?” she quizzed, quirking an eyebrow.

“Uh-oh, why do I get the feeling this is some kind of test?” he retorted. When she simply cupped her chin waiting, he sighed and bit the bullet. “Fine. My team is…Atlanta.”

Moira’s eyes widened, “Well, I didna expect that. I figured you to be a Yankees or Mets fan.”

“Your turn.” He challenged.

“Oh, that’s easy, Astros.” She shrugged. “As you can imagine, last season things were heated between me, Da and Sean. They are die-hard Nationals fans. Da was always fascinated with American baseball and fell in love with the Nationals. Course, Sean was a miniature version of da and well, there you go.”

“Then how in the hell did you become an Astros fan?”

“Two words…Nolan Ryan.”

Cord opened his mouth then closed it again. “Okay, you got me there.”

Giggling, Moira reached for her glass. After a sip, she spoke again, “What are the plans for tonight? You said we had to be at the bar by five.”

“That’s right. Me and Collen will be there to make sure everything is set up for the band and whatnot. I was thinking we could grab a bite about four at this pizza place near the bar. We’ll be at the Manhattan location which is maybe ten blocks from Times Square.”

“Which pizza place?”

“Joe’s.”

“I love them. Me and Roxi’s suite mates in college took us there our first night. I always get a large pizza to go when I headed home after meeting Holly and end up eating half of it on the drive.” Moira grinned.

“Then Joe’s it is. Figured we better have a full stomach tonight if we plan on drinking.” Cord said.

“Hope your bar has good Irish whiskey boyo. And believe me, I’ll know.” Moira warned.

“I have the last name O’Brien; you think I’d be allowed to HAVE a bar if I didn’t stock the good stuff?”
