Markus understood exactly. Sometimes he had to pinch himself to remind himself of just how lucky he was to have gotten a second chance with Brianna. Still, he couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to give his best friend shit.
“You’re welcome, by the way. If my marriage hadn’t fallen apart spectacularly, you would have probably never even met Tiffany.”
Lukus chuckled. “That may be true, but if you hadn’t brought Brianna here to punish her, you might be sitting here, a single man, right beside me.”
Both men shuddered just thinking of how lucky they were to have come through those rough months after Brianna and Markus’s marriage had hit the rocks.
Lukus slapped him on the back, obviously ready to change the subject. “And by the way, I know I owe you one for helping me get the suite remodel finished this week while I was in Michigan with Tiff and her family.”
“Fuck yeah, you owe me. I was supposed to have this week between the holidays off and instead of fucking and punishing my sub all day, every day, I had to come down here to babysit the contractor to make sure the room was ready to host some VIP’s you decided to invite at the last minute. Where the hell are these magical guests anyway?” Markus asked, glancing around the huge open club, searching for people he didn’t recognize.
“The trio got in this afternoon. I barely got a chance to welcome them before I got called away to help with all of the last minute party preparations. I never should have let Max take off. I needed his ass here helping, not off visiting family in Miami.”
“How dare he have a life outside of the club,” Markus deadpanned.
Lukus flipped him the bird in reply just before waving across the bar to the bartender to bring him another drink. While he waited, Markus watched his friend shredding up a cocktail napkin.
“What the hell are you so nervous about?”
“Who said anything about me being nervous?” Lukus denied.
“Oh I don’t know. Maybe the fact that you’ve glanced at your watch at least five times in the ten minutes you’ve been standing next to me for starters?”
Proving his point, Lukus glanced at his watch again before realizing he’d been caught.
“Fine. I’m just wondering why the Cartwright-Davidsons aren’t down here yet. I hope everything is okay with their room.”
“Why do you care so much?”
Lukus didn’t get a chance to answer before their wives arrived, each carrying not one but two holiday themed cocktails.
Markus reached to take one of the drinks out of Brianna’s hand, but she moved it out of his reach.
“Hey, that’s mine!”
He tried to take the second drink instead, but his wife took another step back.
“Let me get this straight. You’re drinking your two drink allotment for the night in the first hour of the party?”
Brianna’s face it up. “I couldn’t decide between the two specialty drinks… so I got both! Don’t judge me!”
He chuckled before answering. “Oh sweetheart, you should know I don’t judge you about decisions like this… “ He waited long enough for Bri to relax before adding, “Ipunishyou for poor decisions.”
Her face lit up brighter than the Christmas tree in the foyer. “Promises, promises…”
Christ, I’m one lucky man.

Brianna
Brianna would never admit it to her Dom, but he had been right to warn her earlier to not drink too many of the specialty cocktails they were serving tonight. Her tummy was not appreciating the sicky-sweetness they’d left in the pit of her stomach. On the other hand, she was feeling super relaxed… and super horny.
How much longer am I gonna have to wait before Markus is ready to get the loopy johnny out of his play bag?
Tiffany, who was standing next to her chatting it up like the perfect little hostess she was, let out a big whoop and started rushing towards the entrance calling out, “Mistress Martha! You came.”
Because tables in the bar area were scarce on a busy night like tonight, Brianna saved their seats, knowing their friends would congregate there after they said their hellos.
