Grace
There’s nothing inherently sexy about making scent pouches. In fact, the outside smells should have been a turn off.
Yet, here I was, thirsting after my pack. Their arm muscles were flexing as they tore open boxes and pulled out buckets of scent beads.
Their eyes continued to lock onto me at every opportunity, as if they couldn’t stop themselves.
Beck was the worst. His stare was loaded, a dark look full of heat. He wanted to devour me and it was very clear if I wasn’t holding back, he wouldn’t be, either.
It made me feel in control, but I kind of hated it.
I wanted to give in. To trust they wouldn’t leave likehedid. I knew it was petty to hold onto old grudges, but the way my high school sweetheart left me behind and never looked back, hurt. Our scents were compatible, though nothing like this.
God, I was pathetic.
Needing a voice of reason, I pulled out my phone and clicked on my text thread with Sidney. She was one of my best friends, and would be the one to keep my secret the best. She knew nothing of my past, so I kept it that way. It felt too silly to talk about all these years later.
Grace: SOS! S! O! S!
Sidney: What’s going on? You’ve got my attention.
Grace: I found them.
Sidney: Wait? THEM?! Like, your pack???
Sidney: How is this an SOS situation?
Grace: Okay this STAYS between us. Agreed?
Sidney: You know I won’t share if you don’t want me to. And neither will the guys.
I knew texting a packed up omega meant the whole pack would be in on it.
Grace: The alpha is Hailey’s groom’s brother. If that doesn't sound complicated, I don’t know what is.
Grace: Oh, and the two betas are his best friends, also groomsmen in this wedding.
Sidney: And this is a problem, why? Hailey will be excited for you.
Grace: She would. But I can’t do it. I told them it stays a secret until after the wedding. Hailey deserves this time to shine.
Sidney: Of course, she does, but how is this taking away from Hailey? You aren’t having a shotgun wedding.
Grace: You don’t know my family, Sid. They’re insane and are forever ruining our moments. Graduation for Hailey? My aunt had to announce a pregnancy. My sweet sixteen, my cousin won some stupid school award and they made a huge production out of it.
Sidney: What assholes.
Grace: I got a promotion at work I worked my ass off for, we went out to celebrate and my dad had to announce his and they acted like mine was just a little thing, no big deal.
Grace: We couldn’t celebrate anything. I won’t do this to her.
Sidney: I hate to say I agree, but I get it now. What do you need me to do other than keep my mouth shut?
Grace: Well, we’re all four here alone for the weekend. Tell me to keep out of their fucking bed.
Sidney: HAHAHAHAHA
Sidney: Absolutely not. Fuck them. Blow their minds, let them blow out your back, then make them PINE for you this week. Then when you come back together it’ll be explosive. So. Many. Orgasms.
