Emma was still doing “surveillance” at Callum’s house. And I honestly didn’t expect to hear from her any time soon. I was hoping my bank job would lead to a sexy night with my men. I could only hope the same for her too.

I’d drawn up some schematics of the bank. I knew the vault code. And I already knew how to get into the bank in the first place. But now that I knew there was a roof, I loved the idea of escaping that way. Unfortunately, I had no idea where the door to the roof was. Hence the reason why I was surprising the guys with dinner.

I walked up the bank steps, balancing the bags of groceries in my arms as I opened the door. They’d be closing soon. This was my chance to get them all relaxed and maybe have them spill some secrets about the bank.

Could I just ask to take a look inside the vault?Sure. But where the hell was the fun in that?

Besides, I wanted to prove to them that I could be one of them. Their ride-or-die bad bitch.

The door closed behind me, the thud reverberating around the empty bank. Where was everyone? My high heels echoed on the floor as I walked toward the counter. Bennett’s office door was open, but he was nowherein sight. I set the bags down on the counter and stared at the vaults. All the doors were closed. But all the doors were always closed.

Still, I held my breath and listened. Because if the vault doors were closed…that meant that one of my boyfriends could be locked up behind one. Or…several of them. My heart started racing as I stepped behind the counter.

I remembered it feeling like the walls were shaking. The metal banging had haunted my dreams. I stopped in front of the vault that Otto said was his. I lifted my hand and pressed it against the cold metal.

“What are you doing?” said a deep voice.

I spun around. Titan was standing only a few feet behind me. I hadn’t heard him approach at all.

“Nothing,” I said. I swallowed hard. Being all alone with him in this bank felt almost as terrifying as when he’d transformed and was baring his teeth at me.

“It doesn’t look like nothing,” he said.

The last thing I wanted was for him to suspect me of pulling a bank job right before I pulled it. “I was just wondering if the guys were locked up right now.”

“Why?” He stepped closer to me.

“Because I care about them,” I said. Titan’s dark eyes bore into mine. I tried to focus on them instead of the scar down his left cheek. Had one of his friends done that to him? Or had it been from something else?

“You expect me to believe that?” He took another step closer.

And this time, I took a step back, my butt colliding with the cold metal vault door. My heart started racing even faster. Any other one of them and this moment would have felt thrilling in a very different way. Butright now, I was just scared of him. And the angry glint in his gaze.

“I don’t know what game you’re playing, but it ends now,” Titan said.

“I…I’m not playing any games.” I hated that my voice was betraying me. I didn’t want him to know that I was scared.

“Listen to me very closely, doll. Because I’m only going to repeat myself once. This. Ends. Now.”

I tried to swallow down the lump in my throat. “What ends?”

He lowered his eyebrows as he took another step closer, caging me in against the vault. “The lies. The games. The fake relationships you’ve wormed your way into with my friends.”

What the hell was he talking about? “I like your friends. A lot. And they’re a hell of a lot nicer thanyou.”

The corner of his mouth ticked up. “Oh, you don’t know the half of it.”

What did he mean by that? If he was implying that he was even ruder than he’d already showed me…then I didn’t want to see it.

I tried to stand up a little straighter even though he was towering above me. “I’m not going to stop dating them.”

“Yes. You are.”

“No.” I stared him dead in the eye. “I’m not.” And who was he to tell me I couldn’t? Bennett was the one who decided. And Bennett had said yes. Titan could go fuck himself. Literally. Because he wouldn’t be getting anything from me.

He lowered his eyebrows even more, almost like he could hear the rude things I was saying about him in my head.
