I blink slowly. “Why do you care?”
“I really don’t know.”
I take a deep breath. “Fine. Then finish the job.” I incline my head toward the hotel. “Walk me inside, Prince Charming.”
He nods. “Let me park.”
I step back as he pulls off, smirking to myself. He didn’t need to park to walk me in. This negro actually thinks he’s staying for a while.
Good.
Because I think I’m gonna treat myself to some dick tonight. I know I swore it off a few mornings ago, but these are special circumstances.
I’m in Lovetown.
With an open mind.
Open legs are thus inevitable.
Two minutes later, the handsome doctor jogs over, and I pivot, hips swaying a little more than necessary as I lead him inside.
In the lobby, I turn, staring up at him as he towers over me, eyes sharp, attention on me. I didn’t realize he was so tall.
Yeah, I’m about to climb this man and turn him every which way but loose.

She’s giving me theeye.
“Thank you for walking me inside,” she says, her eyes slightly glassy as they stare up at me. “Although, you didn’t get me to my room safely.”
A smile creeps across my lips.
“I’m just saying.” She steps a little closer, and my pulse kicks up. “There’s no telling what could befall me in the elevator. We all saw what happened to Jay Z.”
“What?” I burst out laughing. “Lane—“
“Finish the job,” she demands. “You’ll be so mad at yourself if something happens to me.”
I breathe in deep. “You know if I come up to your room,Imight happen to you.”
Her chest rises as she inhales deeply. “Is that a no?”
“Nah. Let’s go.”
My eyes are on her ass as we make our way to the elevator. Her dress sways with every step. Black cotton, soft curves, long legs…my heart is thumping. My blood is rushing. I’m imagining all thethings I’m gonna do until I get an ice cold splash of water all over my face.
She stumbles.
I reach out to keep her upright, nodding when she thanks me, but all I can think isfuck, she’s not sober. And that’s a no go.
Nonetheless, I get her to room 238. She opens the door and pulls me inside, but I stop, lingering at the door.
“What’s wrong?” she asks, her brow raised, her voice expectant.
“You almost fell over.”
