"What do you think of Nya?" A'Mylo asked out of nowhere.
I chuckled. "Uhhh... I'm not really sure at the moment. Call it a woman's intuition, but I have a feeling she doesn't like me with you. I could be wrong, but it's just a feeling I have. If I have tobe around her more, I'll be cautious, but she was kinda friendly. Again, a woman's intuition, but I could feel it was fake."
Mylo remained quiet for a bit, and I felt as though I had said too much.
"Oh damn, well, all I can say is if you feel something, it's for a reason. However, I'm here to tell you now, nothing is going on with us besides arguing," he insisted. We share a laugh. "I've tried being her friend since we have a daughter together, but Nya is a hard woman to please."
I shrugged, taking a sip of the wine. "It's all good. There's no need to explain anything. I trust you."
"Good. That's all I ask of you. Trust me and trust in our relationship."
"I will."
"Now we have to seal it with a kiss."
I laughed and leaned over to touch his lips with mine.
My eyes snappedopen from the movement in my bed. I then smiled, knowing Leighton had gotten up. Even on the weekends, she was an early riser. Since she stayed the night at my house a week ago, I realized she was an early bird. When I knew I didn't have to work, I didn't worry about getting up early in the morning. What was the point of that?
I turned on my back and peered at her, seeing that she had fixed the bonnet on her head. If only she knew how beautiful she looked to me, even in the morning, with her eyes still filled with sleep. Her hair was all over her face as she tried to get it all in the bonnet. I enjoyed waking up with her. There would be a time she wouldn't have to leave my bed and return home. I wanted her with me all the time. She came into my life when I wasn't lookingfor anyone, but when I laid eyes on her, I knew she was mine. Her beauty and smile knocked me off my feet. She was it for me — the one. Now, how in the hell was I going to convince her of that?
"You're beautiful," I complimented her with a smile.
Lee stopped what she was doing and turned to look at me. "You're supposed to be asleep," she hissed.
She had the nerve to have an embarrassed look on her face. That was cute, but she had to get used to it. In the mornings, I would always tell her she was beautiful.
I laughed, folding my arms across my chest. "You moved around too much."
She gave me a guilty look. "My bad. I felt my bonnet coming off my head. Plus, it's almost time for me to get up, anyway."
I frowned. "Why? We can chill in bed. Neither of us has any plans for today."
She nibbled on her bottom lip, averting her eyes from me.
"Umm, we have a house to look at. It was on my schedule."
I lifted an eyebrow. "On a Saturday?"
She folded her arms across her chest and glared at me. "Uhhh, yeah, a Saturday. You work on Saturdays sometimes, too."
She had me there, so there was nothing left for me to say. That was probably why she matched me in every way. She was a workaholic, too, which was something I respected.
"At least feed me."
Lee dropped her head, trying to hide a smile. "Hmm, you would say that. What do you want to eat?"
"An omelet and pancakes with bacon."
Her mouth dropped. "Oh yeah, you're about to help me."
My eyes widened, and I sat up in bed. I gave Lee a charming smile. "You don't want to cook for your man?"
She smacked her lips and got out of bed, and my mouth watered. She was naked and looked extra delicious. My eyes followed her juicy booty as she made her way to the bathroom. "I can remember you telling me, I moved too slowly in the kitchen."
I laughed and climbed out of bed, too. "You do move slowly, but you get the job done." I strode into the bathroom and pulled her back to my chest. I dropped a kiss onto her neck. "Cook for your man, and I can lay down some pipe later."
She giggled. "I want it now and later."
