Without saying a word to him, I headed to my bedroom to retrieve my purse. If he were to follow me, all bets were off. I hadn't had any dick in two days and was in need of some.

"Okay, I'm ready," I stated when I reentered the living room.

A'Mylo wasn't in there, causing me to frown. Where did he go that fast? Then the bathroom door opened, and he emerged from it.

"Are you ready to go?" he inquired, walking over to me, dipping his head, and kissing my cheek out of habit.

I'd never tire of Mylo randomly touching or kissing me. I looked forward to it every time he did it.

"You're going to need your jacket too. It's chilly out there."

I nodded and pointed to my jacket on the coat rack near the door. "Oh, you don't have to tell me. I already know."

I went to put on my jacket, and he helped me. He was so thoughtful. Nya was a damn fool and had the nerve to try to warn me about my man. Every time I thought about it, fury flooded through me.

A'Mylo took a small step back away from me and frowned. "You good?"

I shook away the thoughts that came forth and focused my attention back on him. "Yeah, I'm good. Why do you ask?"

"You had this look in your eyes like you wanted to kill someone. I thought for a minute I had done something to you. I didn't, right?"

I cackled. "No, you didn't. I'm okay. Let's go." I reached for the doorknob only for him to slap my hand away.

"Your ass knows better."

I rolled my eyes skyward and backed away for him to open the door. A'Mylo did the most for no reason. When I was with him, he wanted me to be his lady only, and I loved that. He opened the door, and I walked out of it, waiting for him to lock the door for me. He reached for my hand the minute we set foot on the porch, and we walked to his car in silence. Once there, he held the door open for me, and I thanked him when I was in the car. I appreciated how he waited until I had the seatbelt on before closing the door.

"What's your family like?" I asked when he was back in the car.

Mylo chuckled. "Crazy as hell. You'll love them, though. My parents always bicker with each other. It's the way they show their love. If my father were to yell out 'fuck you' to my moms, he really means I love you."

My mouth fell open as I covered my mouth to muffle my laughter. "They are my favorite kind of people. If I can't joke with you like that in a relationship, there is no need for us to be together."

I wouldn't say that all my past relationships were bad. There were some good times. However, once I started to lose trust in them or felt like they were doing something behind my back, that was it. I was quick to end a relationship. None of the men I was with treated me the way A'Mylo did. The way this man made me feel, I didn't know if it was an explanation for my feelings, but I couldn't escape them. I'd craved this type of feeling for so long, and the minute I had it, I wanted to keep it. There was no way in hell I was going to ruin it.

"Nah, for real. I'm the same way. Just give me a reason to say that to you."

I waved him off with a sly grin on my face, wanting to see what he did. With every tree we passed, I wondered if we were heading to the countryside of Skyeville. It had been a while since I had been on this side of town. "Your parents live in the country?"

A'Mylo bobbed his head. "Yep. And they stay on a dirt road. I have to wash my car every time it rains if I come over here."

I chuckled with a shake of my head. "Jeez, I know that gets on your nerves."

"Nah, not really. Sometimes my car needs it."

He pulled into the yard of a two-story home. A gasp slipped from my mouth as I stared with my eyes widened at the yellowand white house, with a white fence around it. The trees that covered it were big with yellow and orange leaves. There were also leaves on the ground, covering the grass. Two cars were in the yard.

"This house looks like it's straight out of a movie."

He chuckled and turned the car off. "Nah. They wish it were, but it's our family home. My grandma's parents used to live here. It's been passed down every generation."

"Hmm, so who will get it next? You or your brother?"

Mylo shrugged, turning the car off. "I don't want it, but it's mainly because I want my own house, which is why I sought out a realtor. I love that house a lot, but it's not for me. More than likely, Aaron doesn't want it either, but he can be indecisive about things like this. Only time will tell. Are you ready to get out?"

I gave a short nod. It had been a while since I had met a man's family, so there was no telling how this would go, but I was ready to find out.

A'Mylo got out of the car and came around to open the door for me. I gathered my purse and stepped out of the car. He closed the door behind me and reached for my hand. I easily placed it in his hands, and we made our way to the front porch of the house. My heart throbbed in my chest as my palms grew sweaty, and nausea hit me tenfold. This wasn't good at all. I hated meeting new people. My nerves weren't good when it came to introductions.
