"Goodnight."

"Night."

I waited for Lee to open the door before I left to return to my car. Damn, what a damn night. I was going home horny with a hard dick.

"Soon," I mumbled.

My cell phonerang while I was in the kitchen, looking for something to cook for later. It had been a while since I had used my kitchen to cook anything. I strode out of the kitchen into the living room to retrieve my cell phone from my couch.

With a smile on my face, I answered. "Hi, A'Mylo." I took a seat on the couch and crossed my legs.

"Wassup, beautiful? What are you getting into today?"

"Nothing. I was about to start dinner soon." That wasn't a total lie since I was in the kitchen looking for something to cook.

"Nah, don't do that. How about chilling with me today? I'm going to pick my daughter up and would like for y'all to meet."

My eyes widened as I uncrossed my legs and leaned up on the couch. "What? Are you sure?" I asked. Wasn't it too soon for meto meet A'Mylo's daughter? I was good with chilling with him, but his daughter, too? I didn't know how that was going to go.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I think it's time y'all met each other. We've been talking for a month now, so why not?"

"Why not? Because we aren't dating."

There was a long pause on the phone. "I can remember telling you, I'm the man in your life. That was me letting you know, you were mine. If you need me to, I'll ask you nicely to your face."

If I wanted to be in A'Mylo's life, I had to get over the fear of my past. I wanted to embrace the relationship A'Mylo and I had with my whole heart. If that meant getting to know his daughter, I'd do that too. However, the big question was... what if she didn't like me?

I smiled brightly. "Yep. If you're going to do it, make sure you do it right."

He laughed. "That's all you had to say. About meeting my daughter, though."

"Okay. I'd like to meet your daughter."

"Word. I'm getting dressed to head to Nya's apartment. I'll come by and get you before I go."

Wait, what? I had to meet the baby mama, too. Oh gosh, everything seemed to be happening so fast. Was I ready for this?"Okay. I'll start getting ready as soon as we hang up the phone."

"Okay. I'll talk to you later."

As soon as the phone call dropped, I reached for a pillow on the couch and buried my face in it. I let out a scream, trying to calm my nerves. It was time for me to face my fears, and this was the only way to do it. I should've told A'Mylo about my concerns about meeting his daughter. I'd make sure I tell him later. He deserved to know.

My doorbell rang when I was in the bathroom, applying lip gloss. My heart pounded in my chest as my hands grew sweaty. I topped the lip gloss up and turned sideways to get a better look at myself.

"Okay, you got this," I coached myself and turned away from the mirror before leaving the bathroom, hitting the light switch.

With my heart in my stomach, I made my way to the door and opened it. A'Mylo stood there with a smile on his brown-skinned face, his dark brown eyes twinkling. Every time he saw me, he would grace me with a smile that lit up the room, making me feel extremely giddy.

"Wassup, baby." He stepped forward and dropped a kiss on my lips. "Are you ready to talk about us being together? Or do you want me to say it?"

My mouth opened and closed. "Oh my gosh, you're for real?"

"I'll never joke about something like that. I want you to be my woman, Lee. Will you be mine?"

I wrapped my arms around his neck and pecked his lips. "Yes, I'll be yours."

I could burst with the way I felt. My heart pulsated furiously in my chest as my body tingled. I wanted to giggle, but I didn't. He made me feel extremely happy. I had a man now. I couldn't help the giggle that erupted from my mouth, causing him to kiss me again and hug me to him. He buried his face in the crook of my neck and held on to me. If I were to be honest, I didn't want him to let me go.

He pulled away and asked. "Are you ready to go?"
