Fuck, did she…

Fury, not understanding what he means, chuckles, “Randy, you getting blind in your old age, he’s covered in them.”

Randy smirks, and I swallow hard as I state, “He doesn’t mean it that way, brother…” And I confirm, “Lake got my name tatted?”

“Wait, seriously?” Fury asks while Randy nods and replies, “Yep, on her hip…”

Fuck me…

I will my dick not to get hard knowing she claimed me.

“A month after you broke up,” he shocks me and Fury, who was mid-sip, sprays water everywhere, and I can’t help but smirk.

“We’re not over,” I say more to myself, but Randy nods.

She loved me so much that she inked my name on her skin.

“She has Jaylen but upside down just above it, she has Viper,” he admits, and I drop my arms to my side.

Damn.

“Even after everything they said to each other in that first month, when things were more heightened, she claimed him?” Fury confirms, and I don’t take my eyes off Randy as he nods.

“She's scared she’s going to screw your daughter up like Cherri has with her. Her plan was to give you the baby, then leave town,” Randy admits, and I scowl. He ignores my look and continues, “She’s also scared of hurting you again.”

“Ah shit,” Fury mumbles, and I slowly close my eyes and mutter, “She would regret leaving.”

“She would,” Randy confirms, and I look at him as he admits, “I told her that, and I told her to fight for you, but her fear,it’s taking over her. She’s frightened she’ll relapse and drag you down with her.”

I shake my head and ask, “Doesn’t she realize if she goes down, I go with her anyhow, or have these past six months apart not proven that to her already?”

Randy shrugs, and I sigh, grabbing my tee, and I confirm, “She at work?”

He hums in confirmation, and I quickly put my top on before grabbing my cut and putting that on, fucking glad I biked today.

The vision of Lake on the back wearing my property patch pops up, and I smile a little.

Soon, real fucking soon… Okay, in about three months, roughly, but still soon.

Grabbing my bag, I throw it at Fury and ask, “Take that back to the club and put it in my room for me?”

“How are you going to find her?” Fury asks with confusion as he catches it.

I chuckle and admit, “She’ll be on her way to the diner for a drink and most likely a cinnamon bun,” as I check the time, “If not, then I’ll just wait.”

Randy chuckles, “I’ll follow, I could do with a coffee,” and Fury chimes in, “Me too, fucking old man Trivers' car was back again this morning, I’m not going anywhere near that garage.”

I laugh as Randy mutters, “Yeah, I definitely need a fucking coffee,” and I walk out of the gym to my bike while Fury goes to his, strapping my bag down for me on his while Randy gets in his red truck.

Saluting them, I start my bike and back out of my spot before driving away from the gym, my mind on my girl as always.

I knew she’d get in her head and let her guilt fester. We’ve both fucked up, both said shit we don’t mean out of hurt, anger, and confusion but we both can overcome this, I just know it – she’s my girl.

I shake my head and concentrate on the road as the traffic lights change to green, and I pick up my speed, continuing.

Just as I cross the intersection, I hear a car approaching from my right that shouldn't be, and I look that way, and I don’t have time to react.

Everything happens in slow motion, Kitty’s grin behind the wheel entering my vision before her hood smacks into my wheel and the back of my bike flips, my body flying up, Fury’s, “Viper!” just reaching my ears as Lake’s beautiful smile comes to me, her giggles filling my ears and regret hits because I never fought for her and now she’ll lose me forever, most likely relapsing…
