Star’s stare never wavers, but I can tell she is scared. Good. Maybe I’ll get through that thick fucking skull.
“I asked you a fucking question. Do you have any idea who you just fucking insulted?” I want to shake this dumb bitch.
“All I know is that I walked into the room and saw some bitch holding my baby,” she says, trying to hold onto the little control she thinks she has.
“You’ve no fucking right to get pissed about somebody holdingyourbaby. You haven’t touched Starla in fucking days. I mean, damn, I can’t pull you out of a brother's bed long enough to do a damn thing. Second, and your biggest fucking mistake, is that the woman holding Starla is not only cousin to a member, but also the Ol’ Lady to the Vice fucking President of this club.” I’m practically shouting when I finish.
Her eyes go wide. Maybe she finally understands what I’m telling her. Then she decides running her cock sucker is a better idea.
“How am I supposed to know who anyone is if you haven’t introduced me to anyone? You brought me into this place and never once told me who anyone was.” What am I supposed to do? I want nothing but to keep Starla safe and keep my word to my brother. A man is nothing without his word.
“Let me be really clear then. You are nothing and no one in this club. The only reason anyone lets you stay is because they think you and I are together and have a baby together. Which is fine until I figure out how to fix the shit you and that fuckhead of a little brother fucked up. Let’s get one thing perfectly clear. That woman you just disrespected can have you removed and left on your ass with no questions. Are you starting to get it?” I pause, letting my words bang around in her empty skull.
“Yes, Razor, I understand. Be nice to everyone because I’m a fucking guest. If I continue to piss people off, I’ll be out on my ass.” She finishes her statement with a sigh.
Before I can say anything, the wheels turn in her eyes. Whatever is fixing to come out will make me want to punch her in the fucking mouth.
“You should remember that if I’m out of sight, so is Starla. Oh, and I know your precious brothers don’t know the real reason I’m here. So, if you want to keep that a secret, you might want to play a little nicer with me.” She no longer looks scared. In fact, she shocks me with her look of triumph.
I just glare at her before letting her go suddenly and turning to leave. I can’t do this. I thought I could figure this all out on my own, but I can’t. I will talk to Prez and the officers about everything, and then I will talk to Edge. I pull the door open so hard it bangs against the wall. I don’t get one foot out the door before her words stop me in my tracks.
“Razor, my dear, you tell anyone about what’s going on here, and I’ll rain hell down on everyone. I can make things very, very hard on you all,” she states.
“What’s it going to be, Star? Are you telling them or not? You can’t have it both ways.” I step in her direction. “Just remember, though, if you decide to make things difficult here, you’ll be out on your ass so fast that you won’t know what happened.
Star obviously thinks she has the upper hand as she grins coldly. “No, Razor. We do this my way and only my way. I’ll rat you out to your brothers if it helps me, or we keep our little secret as long as it suits me. That means if you say anything or ruin what I have here, I’ll make sure that when the people after me leave here, nothing will be standing when they are done.”
“I don’t know what that threat is about,my dear, but it’s the last one you’ll ever make,” Blue says with so much ice. I can’t save Star now. Blue now knows something is going on.
I’ve never seen Star look so scared. Not even when my worthless brother was killed in front of her. Now, though, she is so pale, and trembles like a soft breeze could take her down. I glance back at Blue, and her look tells me she is disappointed. I would rather punch Steel and Torch in the face than see this look.
“Razor, I’m going to take Starla to the house for the night. You have until I get back in the morning to get this taken care of, or I’ll be letting Steel in on what I’ve overheard myself. Please don’t make me be the bad guy here,” Blue says before turning and walking down the hall.
“Fuck!” I roar before punching the wall beside the door. I need more time, but my time has run out. Blue will not let this go.
“Well, what the hell are you going to do?” Star asks.
“Looks like we are going to talk to the guys and tell them everything. You better pray they forgive me. Because if they don’t, we are fucking screwed,” I throw over my shoulder before leaving to go to my office. I need to make sure the security system is running, everything’s in order there, and check if anything has popped up yet on the searches, I’m running for the fuckers I need to find.

“I’m so exhausted,” Candy says, plopping into the chair beside me.
“I don’t know how you do it.” I brush the last swatch of mascara across my lashes.
“Me? You’re the one doing a full load of classes and still working seven days a week. Do you sleep at all?” She giggles.
“It’s not sleeping every time you blink?” I ask her, only slightly joking.
It’s been a month since I walked out of the clubhouse. I haven’t spoken to anyone but Vixen since. Life outside of the club has been eye-opening, to say the least. I moved in with Stacy, another student at the college I’m attending, and got a job. Due to me not doing anything outside the Snake Bite Clubhouse, I had no experience. I do have my inheritance, but I don’t want to rely on that in case I need it in the future.
Stacy isn’t exactly friendly, so if I’m not at work or school, I’m in my room studying to not bother her. I was miserable for the first couple of weeks until Candy plopped into the chair beside me in my Business 101 class. I tried not to engage with her, but she wouldn’t have any of it and wormed her way into my life. We walked out of class one day, and my phone chimed with an email.
