“Steel, can I talk to you for a second?”
“Vixen, I don’t have time,” he continues to walk away.
I reach out and grab his arm, stopping him. I know that’s not something I should be doing, but he needs to know what happened. “It’s important, Steel, just a second,” I plead. “I know what is going on is club business, and you are handling it, but I know without a doubt that Ox had something to do with this,” I say in a hurry, praying to anyone that is listening that I didn’t just overstep.
“Vixen,” Steel says softly, making me look up at him. “I hear you. Just know that it will be handled,” he says before kissing me on the forehead and walking into church.
I hold back the tears at the memory that that one little gesture brings back. Then, I turn to help Blue get ready for the influx of people coming. Placing my hand on my belly, feeling the tiny little bump, I know I’m going to have to tell Blue about that baby sooner rather than later. I follow the directions the brothers give, guiding us to the safe rooms in the basement. They start taking a head count of everyone there. I find Lo sitting on a twin bed looking scared. I take a seat by her and wait for something to do.

It’s been three weeks , and there is still no sign of the guys. Everyone is getting antsy and tired of being stuck in the clubhouse all the time. Razor woke up two days after the explosion with a concussion and broken arm and refused to stay at the hospital. When he got back to the clubhouse, he lost it when we told him who was missing. What shocked me was as he was fighting Steel and Iron, he went completely still when Lo put a hand on his face. Once everyone was sure that he wouldn’t hurt himself or tear the club apart, they let him go. He grabbed Lo and stalked off.
Since then, Razor and Lo have been on the computer, trying to find the guys. Ox has been gone since that day too. What happened to him?
Three days after the lockdown, I told Blue about the pregnancy to try and get a doctor's appointment. Outside of Blue, Steel, Razor, and Lo, no one else knows. I don't know who I can trust.
“Are you ready for this?” Blue asks, giving me a side hug as she heads to the fridge.
“I’m scared,” I tell her, being completely honest.
“That is perfectly normal, dear. Can I ask you something?” Blue sits with me by the island.
“You can ask, but it doesn’t mean I’ll answer it,” I reply, grinning at her.
“Smartass,” she says, bumping my shoulder.
“That I am. That I am.”
“My boy has only been gone for three weeks, meaning that unless you guys slept together the first night, I don’t think this baby is his,” she says.
“Umm, there was not a question in that statement,” I advise, praying that my answer doesn’t change her view of the baby or me.
“Is that my grandbaby?” Blue asks bluntly.
“No, ma’am. This baby is why I did not fight to leave with Torch when he did what he did. I knew that Fire would ruin this baby like he does everything around him. I just couldn’t let him have this baby too,” I tell her, trying everything I can not to cry.
“First, I want to tell you that, at this point, that baby is one of ours. Second, you are not ruined. You’re amazing, smart, and will make an incredible mother. We got you,” Blue says, kissing me on the cheek as Razor and Lo walk in.
“Hey hey, momma, how are you feeling today?” Razor asks, rubbing me on top of the head as he walks by.
“Fucker, don’t touch my hair! Fuck!” I shout, smacking at him. He just laughs before twisting out of my reach.
“Hey, guys, gotta keep you on your toes until my boy gets back,” Razor says with a sad smile.
“It’s been three weeks, Razor,” I whisper, trying to hold back the tears.
I don’t know how to tell them that this isn’t his baby. Only Blue and Lo know. I take a deep breath and head out to the main room. Everyone is getting a little tired of being on top of each other, but we all know it’s for the best. I decide that a nap would be a good idea and head to my room.
Once in there, I strip and put on Torch’s shirt, just needing to be close to him. How can only a few days with a man make mean so much to me? The club and his family have come to mean more then I thought I could ever have thought after everything that’s happened. I‘ve spent time with them. Torch, on the other hand, wasn’t but a few days. Someone can’t mean that much so soon. Fuck, this is fucking ridiculous! I have to get over him. Once he finds out about the baby, he won’t want anything to do with me.
I wake up to a knock on the door and run to the bathroom sick. “Vix, are you okay?” Lo asks, coming into the bathroom. I nod my head as I wipe my mouth. “Don’t you lie to me, you hoe,” she states.
“I don’t know, to be honest. Damn, Lo, we just went from one fucking club to the next. Yes, this one is a hundred times better, and everyone is amazing, but what are we fucking doing? Torch is going to lose his shit when he finds out that this baby is not his. No man in this life is going to raise a baby that isn’t his, much less belongs to the president of a rival club.” I’m nearly shouting by the time I’m done.
“Do you feel better?” Lo asks, trying to hide her smirk.
I flip her off and go to get ready for the doctor. I am going to hear my baby for the first time, and I’m fucking terrified. We load up in the Tahoe and head for the doctor’s office, surrounded by bikes for the trip. Steel isn’t playing any games with our lives. We make it to the office with nothing happening, and I can tell everyone is relieved. I start filling out my paperwork and then sit and wait for my name to be called, which seems to take forever.
