Scout nodded along and Steele grinned, “Oh, I have no doubt.”

Rickie giggled and then asked, “So, how long have you all worked together?”

Crew looked at her, “I met Steele seven years ago. He was my Captain in the SEALs, and he taught me all I needed to know.”

She grinned, “Oh. That is a cool story. How about you Jet?”

Jet gave her a half smile, “Steele was also my Captain. I joined the SEALs a few months after Crew.”

Scout spoke up, “I joined a year after that. We were together on all the missions from then on and we have been together ever since.”

“Okay, that’s awesome. Can you tell me about some of your missions? Or are they all classified?”

Jet snorted again, “Most of them are classified, sorry. But we can tell you that Steele was fearless. Taught us to be as well. And just know that a lot of bad men were put away because of our team.”

She leaned on her elbow, “That is so fascinating.”

Jet looked over at her, searching her face as if she was mocking them and when he saw she was completely serious, he relaxed a little and ate more.

Scout said, “Is there anything else you want to know that we can tell you?”

“How did you decide to work in security?”

Scout’s mouth lifted slightly on the side, “After we all left the SEALs, we went to our own states, and houses for a while, but none of us were happy with what was available to us. So, Jet reached out to me, and to Crew and we all asked Steele if he wanted to start a security company with us. He was more than willing and we pulled funds to get it started. We got our first client, Gunner Powell and then he introduced us to Raiden. And after that, more opportunities came up. It's been something that we all enjoy and are good at. Even though we struggled with the last few things.”

She raised her eyebrow, “Struggled how? Steele told me he thought he failed because of the bank and Gunner’s building.”

Scout nodded, “That. Both buildings we were supposed to protect were robbed. And it almost didn’t end well for either of them.”

She sat up, “I believe you did your best with the resources you had. You had no idea that Neil would come during the day and sneak past the other men working to steal a file out of Miles’ desk. Nor did you know that there was a man planning to rob the bank. If my supervisor had just listened to me in the first place, it wouldn’t have happened.”

Jet looked over at her, “You were the one who told us about the man? I thought it was Raiden.”

She sighed, “I was so shy and you are all so intimidating to me that I didn’t know how to speak up. I was already criticized for trying to tell someone, and didn’t know if anyone would believe me again. I called Raiden and he spoke to Steele. So, it wasn’t anyone’s fault but my supervisors.”

Steele crossed his arms over his chest, as her words sunk in.

Jet spoke first, “I was not expecting that. And, just so you know, it’s fucked up that they didn’t listen to you.”

A slow smile spread across Rickie’s face and Scout said, “I second that. Thanks for the intel you gave us. It helped save the day. We weren’t unprepared and I can guarantee it would have been much worse, if you hadn’t said anything.”

Crew nodded, “What they said.”

“Thank you. That means a lot to me.” She said, and the guys all nodded and they ate the rest of their food, answering any question that Rickie asked them.

They also asked her a few and he could tell she happily answered all their questions.

The guys helped clean up dinner and they thanked her for inviting them.

She hugged each of them as they left and when they were gone, Steele shut the door and locked it and brought her upstairs, where he made love to her until she was sated in his bed and in his arms.
