He nodded and led her to the car, and helped her into it.
Then he got behind the wheel and looked at her, “Before we go anywhere, I didn’t get to do this today.”
“Do what?”
He leaned over and kissed her, making her moan and clutch at his jacket.
He pulled away after a few seconds, and one last kiss to her lips and sat back in his seat.
“Now we can go.”
He started the car and drove to the mall, holding her hand in his. She loved every single second of it.
When they got to the mall, he led her to the bookstore and kissed her gently, “Would you like to have lunch with me?”
She nodded and then he kissed her again, and left her at the door.
She watched his sexy ass move in his jeans and sighed, it was going to be a long freaking day.
Chapter 5
Jensynn
After Brenya drove away last night, he followed her home to make sure she got there safely.
He already knew where she lived, because well, magic, but he just had to be certain she was safe.
And when she hadn’t questioned him about it this morning, he was grateful.
He also knew exactly why Brenya was being weird this morning.
They had the same dream. Well, dream wasn’t the word for it. It was more like a shared consciousness.
He had started imagining what it would be like to be with her in the most intimate way possible, and she must have been dreaming the same thing, because they were in his cabin in the Pole and they were making love on the rug he had in front of his fireplace.
It was like they were actually there and it was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
He knew it was where they needed to cement their bond and he couldn’t wait.
He got ready for the day, and spent the next few hours holding little tiny babies so their parents could have their pictures with Santa and each baby slept right through it.
He hadn’t had a kid cry yet, but he knew it was because they could sense his goodness and his love. And being Santa’s head elf helped a lot.
His magic calmed even the fussiest of children and each parent was thrilled that they didn’t get the typical crying picture with Santa.
When it was time for his first break he was itching to get back to Brenya’s side.
He had felt her watching him more than once during his shift, and loved that she couldn’t look away from him, much like he was with her.
He also tried his best to see her in the bookstore and whenever he had a free moment he too would sneak peeks at her. He hurried to change so he could get back to her.
But when he stepped into the shop, he felt sick to his stomach.
There was a man standing much too close to his mate for comfort and he could tell that Brenya didn’t like the man, was scared of him, and was trying her best to get him to step away from her.
She kept edging along the counter so she wasn’t trapped in the small space with him, and Jensynn hurried to her side.
She looked up at him, relief stark in her white face and she rushed to his side, his arms closing around her as her body shook a little.
