Brent was a kind man as well and the two were there as Trace’s parents.
Though, as a surprise for Trace, she had found pictures of his and Sienna’s parents and had printed them out and framed them.
The pictures were put on the chairs where his parents were supposed to sit, and Sienna had cried when she saw it this morning.
She had thanked her and once again, Emery was thrilled to be sisters with Sienna.
The four girls had become such good friends and she was beyond grateful to each of them.
Karalee came into the room, “Everything is ready. Are you?”
Emery nodded, “More than ready.”
Karalee grinned and nodded, “Okay. Let’s do this.” She hurried from the room in her light purple dress and Sienna came over, hugging her softly.
“I love you Emery. I hope you know that. I'm so glad we are going to be sisters.”
Emery hugged her back, “I am too. I love you.”
Sienna walked from the room and Stacy and Mila hugged her and also walked out.
She took a deep breath and when her dad peeked in the room, she smiled at him.
He held his elbow out to her and she placed her arm in his as he led her out to the backyard.
It was decorated with lights in all the trees and hanging from them to the house.
She loved that it turned into a fairy wonderland and looked around, loving it.
She locked eyes with Trace as the song played that she would walk down the aisle to, and his mouth dropped open in shock at his first glimpse of her in the dress.
His eyes were full of love and promises and he mouthed, “I love you.”
She mouthed it back and watched as each of her bridesmaids took their spot at her side.
Then her dad was kissing her cheek softly, “I love you Emmy bean.”
“I love you too daddy.”
Then Trace was there, his strong hand pulling her forward and all she saw was his smiling face and his green eyes.
The priest spoke, but she heard none of it. Until he told them it was time for their vows.
Trace didn’t stop smiling, and said, “Emery, I love you. Before I met you, life was just life. Boring, quiet and predictable. Yes, I was happy. But I wasn’t really living. I was just surviving. Then you stumbled your way into my arms, and I started breathing. I was actually alive for the first time in my life and I am the luckiest man in the entire world that you chose me. That you love me too. That you agreed to be mine. I want nothing more than to grow old with you, to have children with you and to have a life with you. I want the good times and the bad, and I want it all with you by my side. I love you.”
She knew that she was crying. Could feel the tears slide down her cheeks as he spoke and she loved him more then, than she did earlier. If that was possible.
He put the ring on her finger that he had chosen for her to wear and she loved the band.
Then it was her turn. She looked up at the man she loved and said, “Trace. From the minute I fell into your arms, I knew my life would never be the same. I knew that my heart was whole. I didn’t know it wasn’t until you were there. And made it beat for you. You saved me, protected me and loved me when I needed you the most. And I know that it will always be that way. That you will be there when I need you, and that you will love me through it all. I love you Trace. Thank you for being mine.”
She put his ring on his finger and they said their “I Do’s” and then they were pronounced man and wife.
And he was kissing her. Making her whole and his.
Their life started now.
