Olivia giggles and spreads her thighs, and I put my hands under her ass to bring her to the edge of the desk, leaning down so that I can guide myself into her.
It’s not the world’s best angle, but it’s what we’ve got, and I thrust into her with fervor, kissing along her long neck and grabbing the flesh of her thick thighs.
She’s so slick and hot with no prep that it seems impossible, but the more I thrust, the more she clenches around me.
“Coming already, baby?” I murmur in her ear as I pound away, and she chokes out a sobbing moan, scratching her nails down my shoulders when I finally spill inside her.
It’s quick and dirty but after we adjust our clothes, we look almost normal.
“Guess that’ll be my lunch break.”
I frown. “You need to eat.”
She swats at me playfully as I pull out. “I’ll order something in. Don’t be a worrywart, Damien.”
“Can’t help it. It’s in my nature.”
She smiles, kissing me softly. “Let me know if you find out anything else.”
“I will.” I kiss her once again before moving away from her, reluctantly going back to my office.
At home later, I’ve finally got the whole nursery set up. It’s like having a little home for someone who isn’t even here yet.
I stand in the doorway of the nursery, looking at the crib, the changing table, everything ready for a little human.
What if it’s not mine? What if she chooses someone else?
The family I’ve been hoping for my entire life... What happens to it?
I draw in a ragged breath and strip off my suit, changinginto a pair of sweats and going down to my home gym to beat the absolute shit out of a bag.
As usual, stretching and using my muscles helps my mind feel more grounded.
I’ve already decided that I’m not going to go gracefully.
If the baby belongs to one of them, I still want her. If it belongs to me, I want her.
Hell, if there were no baby at all, I’d want her.
And I’ll be here, if she wants me. Any time.
Unfortunately, I think that’s the way Dominic feels, too.
Sebastian may say that he’s staying out of it, but I see the way he looks at her. He’s certainly never looked at any other woman like that, at least not as long as I’ve known him.
None of this is going to be easy, but is anything worth it ever easy?
And God knows, Olivia Carter is worth it.
Chapter Thirty-Two
SEBASTIAN
When my doorbellrings early on a Saturday, I heave myself out of bed, groaning. How dare someone show up before ten? It’s honestly diabolical.
I don’t bother looking through the peephole, just swing the door open.
Dominic looks haggard, standing at my door, eye twitching.
