“Okay, okay. I get it. So whoever is using this keycode is the leak.”

“Has to be. There’s no other code that accesses the hall of records that often.”

“And you’resureit couldn’t be?—”

“It’s not Roland.”

His voice is firm, unyielding, and I suppose he has some manner of loyalty to this guy.

I’ve met Roland a few times, and he seems to care deeply about Olivia, so I don’t believe it, either.

Still, I’m a little more removed from the situation, so maybe I can see things clearly.

“We have to stake out the hall of records.”

“Olivia and I tried that, but we got... distracted.”

Jealousy bolts through me. I settle my shoulders back. “I bet.”

Damien smirks, and I almost respect him for it.

“Why don’twestake the place out?” I look at my watch. “It’s nearly dark. Let’s grab some food and go figure out who this leak is.”

“I’m coming with you.” I look over at the doorway to see Dominic standing there, and I groan inwardly.

What are we, the Three Stooges? All we have in common is Olivia—and our work, I suppose.

“Fine,” Damien says easily enough, and I look up at him. He shrugs. “We might as well work together. We all care about her. Right?”

All I can do is nod.

I have complicated feelings for Olivia, but it’s not like I can talk tothemabout it.

Can I?

“Let’s go.”

We pile into Dominic’s SUV and head to a diner where we load up on greasy food for our stakeout before returning to the building and parking in the back with binoculars.

Damien settles into his seat. “I have notifications set up on my phone if someone accesses the building or the room. I just need to catch them red handed.”

Dominic munches on his slice of pizza in the driver’s seat, and I wrinkle my nose.

“Anchovies? Really?”

“You haven’t lived until you’ve had pepperoni and anchovies.” He grins. “Olivia loves it.”

“Olivia has... questionable tastes,” Damien says, and I snort out a laugh.

I kind of like Damien, despite myself.

Hell, I even like Dominic, despite his smug “I knew her first” thing.

“Hey, was that a dig?” Dominic pouts, and I laugh again.

“I don’t understand why we can’t all share,” I try, just testing the waters.

Dominic scoffs. “Sharing? I don’t share.”
