Roger gives me the okay to answer his question. "We grew up together."

"And is he also a member of Demons United?" Agent Harris asked.

Roger gives me the okay to answer his question again. "Yes."

"When is the last time you saw or spoke to Mr. Daniels?

"We had a gathering at our North Carolina chapter. He made the trip but said he had to head to South Carolina and couldn't stay."

"And why did you have a gathering in North Carolina?" Agent Douglas asks.

"My client will not be answering that question. It has nothing to do with Mr. Daniels’ disappearance." Roger keenly watches for the agent's reaction.

"We decide what questions are relevant to our investigation Mr. Satterfield," Agent Douglas says.

"And I'm his attorney, and I decide what questions he will and will not answer and that question he will not answer." Roger peers down at his watch again. "Let's move this along, gentlemen. My client has things to do."

"So, do you know what happened to Mr. Daniels?" Agent Harris asks as Michelle brings a paper and places it on the table in front of the agents.

Looking over at Roger, he nods again, and I simply answer, "No."

Agent Douglas examines the paper in front of him. “You don't seem worried about your friend, Mr. Tyler."

Roger glares at Agent Douglas with irritation evident on his face. "Is that a question?"

"No just an observation, Mr. Satterfield." Agent Douglas smirks.

"My client couldn’t care less about your observations, agent. One last question and my client is leaving."

"But we have more questions," Agent Douglas argues.

"It doesn't matter. He has a business to run. One last question," Roger repeats again.

"Mr. Tyler, do you know where Mr. Daniels is?"

"No," I simply answer as Roger stands and I follow.

"Any more questions, gentlemen, you have for Mr. Tyler, you can contact me at my office." Roger hands Agent Harris his card. "Mr. Tyler will no longer be sitting down for anymore interviews. He's told you all that he knows. Have a good day."

"Don't leave town, Mr. Tyler," Agent Douglas calls out as we’re leaving.

"Mr. Tyler is free to travel anywhere he chooses unless he is under arrest?" Roger arches his eyebrow and waits for either agent to answer his question. Both agents look at one another and shake their heads. "All right, gentlemen. Have a good day." Walking out, the lady places a hand on Rogers' shoulder, and he stops.

"They have it out for him for some reason," she whispers. "They are digging into you as well. Be careful Roger."

“Okay,” is all he says, walking away.

When we reach outside, Roger lets out a deep sigh. “Damn. I didn't think I would ever see her again."

"She must have been special?" I pull out my phone to see if there is any word from Kira. Shaking my head and sighing, I send her another text and put my phone back up.

"Ex-fiancée turned Fed." He sighs, and I arch my eyebrow. "Long fucking story. She said they have it out for you and they are digging into me as well."

"Someone is always coming for me, and I'm always ready."

"Be careful D," he says as I jump on my bike.

"Always man. Thanks again. I’ll be in touch."
