Fenrys gripped the nape of my neck, pulling my mouth back to his.
“Thalia, I’m close,” he groaned. I pushed him back down and rode him until he held me hard enough to bruise. “Come for me, Thalia.”
Just at the edge of my pussy, Fenrys’s knot expanded, and it was the feeling of him finally being able to push it into me, of knowing Iwas ableto take my alpha’s knot, even though it filled me so full I wanted to sob, that made me finally come. I cried his name, tugging him into my chest with the force of my orgasm as it shuddered out of me.
Fenrys followed me the minute his knot fit inside me, stretching me obscenely. He groaned deep in his throat, my name a rough noise on his tongue. Afterward, he held me tightly, moving us so he held me to his chest as we lay on our sides until his knot went down.
Locked like this together, it was easy to feel at peace. He would heal, and we would both forgive and move on.
Linking our fingers together, I placed them over my stomach. Our future was waiting for us, and we were finally leaving the dark, painful past.
Epilogue - Fenrys
Several days later, in my house with my Luna, I heard a banging sound on the other side of our bedroom door. Voices rose, and I glanced at Thalia.
“Stay here,” I said.
“You’re too protective,” she tutted. “I’m coming with you. It’s not like there’s a threat.”
“Oh, I don’t know. It could be my mother.”
At that, she giggled. “Thatwouldbe a threat. She still terrifies me.”
I took her hand and opened the door. Down the hall, I followed the sounds, and I was already laughing before I even saw my pack scattered around the living room. When we entered, they all stood to attention, with Conall slightly more forward than the rest.
“Finally,” he muttered. “We wanted to meet our new Luna properly. You know, seeing as the banquet got… Sidetracked.” He stood back to display a bunch of pizza boxes. “It’s more informal but we’re all pretty eager to get her among our ranks.”
“Word has it. She’s a pretty good hunter,” Lyna called. I guided Thalia forward. As she looked out at them, I saw her smile grow. There was something right about this. My pack, looking at my Luna. Then, as one, they all bowed their heads in a show of respect for her.
“We all have gifts as well,” Conall said. “Well, they’re mostly for Baby Randon but it’s also a sort of welcome.” His eyes were on Thalia. I didn’t know what had transpired between them during the fight with Kato, but I would force them into a spar if need be to work out any differences. However, this seemed to be the olive branch. He gestured to a table where gift-wrapped items were stacked.
Thalia’s eyes watered. “This is all I ever wanted,” she whispered. Guilt clenched my heart for a minute before I let it drain away. If she could forgive me then I had to learn to forgive myself, too.
“Conall.” She jerked her head in acknowledgment. “It’s nice to meet you again”
“I’m sorry the last circumstances were… Not ideal.” He shrugged. “I still keep in touch with Anya, though. She was cool.”
“I hope Atlanta is treating her well,” Thalia said. I felt a burst of pride, watching her interact with my second in command. Then Lyna took Conall’s place, the female taking hold of Thalia’s hands.
“Welcome to the pack,” she said. “You have me to thank for bullying Conall into getting Fenrys to even host the Games.”
Thalia laughed as Lyna flung her arms around her shoulders. “Thank you. Without you guys, we wouldn’t have had this second chance.”
After Lyna, the other five came up, one by one. Theo, the man I had introduced to Dakota, nodded his head. “Welcome. It’s about time this guy settled down and made you his Luna.”
“Right,” Thalia said with a playful eye roll. Theo shuffled back. Dakota, whom I’d officially invited into my pack after her supporting Thalia throughout the days I’d been injured, was next. Apparently, the other she-wolf had been running errands, ensuring Thalia could stay with me, and my mother could look after the town, and my pack could see to scouting and keeping an eye on any threats from Kato’s wounded pack.
“What a turn of events, right?” Dakota laughed. “Look at me now. I came here to have my shot at being Luna and found that being here, part of this family, is more than enough.” Dakota approached me. “Thank you for this chance, Fenrys.”
“It’s an honor to have you as part of my family, Dakota,” I said. “Your trials still proved to me that you’re capable and worthy of being part of my pack. I hope you find a home here.”
“I don’t doubt that I will.” Her cheeks were flushed with excitement. We went through a whole meeting, where we both unwrapped gifts from them, ate enough pizza to feed Silverlake Valley, and then prepared to head out into the woods.
As the eight of us shifted and into a new formation, with Thalia and I heading up the front, Conall and Lyna following quickly behind, I knew I had done everything right. Even if the process of getting here was bumpy, we were all finally in the right place. I was proud of my pack; I was immeasurably proud of my Luna, and I couldn’t wait to bring our new pup into the world.

Thalia gave birth to Reika Feyren Randon on an autumn day, when the leaves were spilling off the trees, littering Silverlake Valley. Gold and orange decorated Main Street, catching on outdoor seating areas, and falling past the window of my home that I shared with my pack. Nine months and two weeks ago, I had been shot and found out my mate was pregnant all in one day.
