He’d barely finished speaking before Kaz pushed his chair back. He eyed the man knowingly, rolling his eyes when Kaz grabbed his hand and tugged him toward the stairs to laughter and whistles from the others.

He let Kaz drag him upstairs and into his bedroom, but once the door closed behind them, he tugged his hand free. Kaz wrapped his arms around Miles’s waist, giving him a confused look. He opened his mouth, but Miles cut him off.

“You haven’t chosen a treasurer?” Kaz arched a brow at him, but he shrugged. “Am I not allowed to ask questions about things you talk about openly?”

A line appeared between Kaz’s brows, and his voice was uncharacteristically gruff as he said, “I’d prefer if you didn’t.”

Miles rolled his eyes and pulled free of Kaz’s arms to turn around. He made it two steps before arms circled him again, pulling him back against Kaz’s chest, lips skimming the side of his neck and making his heart race.

“You’re right,” Kaz said, lips against his skin, “We shouldn’t have talked about it where anyone could hear.”

A groan pushed past Miles’s lips, but those hands around him were sliding down his chest, distracting the hell out of him. Mmm… he wanted more of that. So much more.

“But you did. I asked you a question.”

How he managed to get the words out, he didn’t know. He just knew he needed to.

Kaz turned him around and put a finger beneath his chin to turn his face up.

“What about it?”

Miles nibbled on his bottom lip. “Ezra could help you. At least until you figure out something permanent. He already knows what you do.”

Kaz’s hand dropped, and something dark flashed through his eyes as he took a step back.

“How the fuck does he know that?”

Miles arched a brow at him. “Is that jealousy I hear?”

Kaz caught him around the waist and jerked their bodies flush together. He lowered his head, lips brushing the shell of Miles’s ear and making him repress a moan. Kaz’s breath on his skin was hot, and his words had him trembling in his arms.

“Yes, Sweetheart, I’m jealous. I’m possessive. You had the chance to stay away. Now you’remine.”

A thrill rushed through Miles, and he smiled at that word. He fucking loved that word coming from Kaz’s lips. He liked jealous Kaz. It made him believe just a bit more each time that this was real. That Kaz truly did want him. That Kaz was being honest.

Lips trailed up the side of his neck, leaving him trembling with need.

“Shower,” he gasped between groans.

“Later.”

Kaz tugged his shirt off, and Miles’s brain short-circuited for a moment at the sight of droolworthy abs and tattoos. He was so done for when it came to Kaz. He’d never looked at any other man and felt as turned on as he did looking at Kaz.

Their clothes hit the floor, and then he was crawling backward on the bed, watching as Kaz followed on his hands and knees, a dangerous smile playing on his lips.

Kaz held Miles’s gaze as he lifted a hand to his mouth, sucking two of his fingers into his mouth. Miles cursed softly, barely staying still because the need to be the one doing that nearly took over.

Kaz chuckled, the sound low and dark as it sent a thrill through Miles.

He bent his knees, putting his feet on the mattress and spread his legs, his cock hard against his stomach and his ass clenching in anticipation.

Wet fingers slipped between his cheeks, and he could’ve cried when he felt that first push of pressure against his hole. He was panting before he knew it, Kaz’s fingers moving inside him while he stroked his cock. He groaned as he pushed his ass back onto Kaz’s fingers, then thrust up into his fist, the friction feeling so damned good. Kaz set a fast and hard rhythm that had him sweating and panting, breathless curses falling from his lips.

“Kaz,” he moaned. He threw his head back with a guttural groan, feeling the tension inside him building fast. He was so close, just the thought of Kaz watching?

A hand wrapped around the base of his cock, the fingers inside him stilling.

“Tell me how he knows.”
