“Yes, I would.”

“Then it’s settled. The next time you see me, it will be at a bar, and we can have a second chance to make a first impression.”

“But?”

He inched closer to her. His lips tickled her ear as he whispered, “But nothing. You just said you wouldn’t be second-guessing this thing we have between us if the circumstances were different, right?”

Her words were nothing but a whisper back in response.

“Yes.”

“Then forget about everything you know about me. Just for tonight, and let me kiss you.”

“I thought we’d done that already.”

He traced her lips with his index finger.

“Not here.”

His finger trailed from her lips down the length of her body until it pressed between her inner thighs.

“I want to kiss you here.” He whispered before his lips trailed down to her breasts and kissed each before they slid down to her stomach.

“Please, Cam. Please.”

Cassidy let out a soft moan as his hands slid her skirt up to her waist and put her white-laced thong on one side of her inner lips. He slid a finger into her wet folds as he kissed the triangled fabric. He grabbed the top of the panties with his teeth and slid them off to expose her sex. His thumb gently stroked her clit.

“So beautiful,” he said as he plunged his tongue inside her, “and tastes so sweet. Like honeyed butterscotch.”

He flicked his tongue back and forth while thrusting his fingers deep within her until she writhed in pleasure beneath him and lay there breathing heavy. When she came down from her orgasm, he peeked up from between her thighs and smiled at her hooded gaze before he sat up and took a sip of his whiskey.

She shimmied back into her underwear and adjusted her skirt before taking a sip of her own drink.

His phone beeped suddenly.

“Fuck!” He said as he peered at the text. “I’ve got to take this. It’s the Tokyo market. I’ll just be a minute. Make yourself at home.”

Chapter Five

Almost instantly, he vanished into the hallway, leaving Cassidy to sit with her thoughts.

What the hell am I thinking? He’s my boss! Oh, God! I’ve got to get out of here before I wind up sleeping with the man! This can’t be happening! This simply can’t be happening!

She took a large sip of her brandy and placed it on the glass coffee table. The connection of the glass to glass made a loud clink and echoed in the room. She put her head in her hands while the last few minutes replayed in her mind.

A smile softly spread across her face as she reminisced about what that tongue of his did to her, making her body hum like it had never had with any other man before. But the notion that he’s her boss surfaced again, and she shook all those sexy thoughts out of her cluttered head to regain some semblance of composure.

We shouldn’t be doing such things together.

She needed to come up with an excuse to leave, and it couldn’t be something lame because he’d see right through it—of course, he would. The man didn’t become a billionaire by luck. He was smart, business savvy, and damned sexy. A drawn-out sigh escaped her lips as she allowed herself to dream of grinding her hips into that gigantic cock of his. She felt it pressing against her thigh, and it was enormous. And large enough for her to wonder if she could handle all of him. She shook her head again, disgusted with herself, thinking such impure thoughts about her boss.

She needed to get out of here and pronto. But? Cassidy didn’t want to hurt him, which seemed scary in and of itself. Her heart started to race as she weighed her options.

Fuck! The last thing I need right now is a panic attack!

He rushed to her side within seconds of her heart racing and her palms glistening with sweat. Before she could process precisely what was happening, he’d already pulled her into his arms and was whispering the sweetest things she’d ever heard in her life.

“You’re going to get through this. Put your head on my chest. Listen to my heartbeat while you focus on the sound of my voice. Let’s try this together, okay? Breathe in, breathe out. Do you take medication for your attacks?”
