Morgan nodded. “Yeah. That makes sense.”
“So, what should I do? Should I text Will and offer up my help?”
“Yeah, I think so. If he doesn’t know anything, it’ll just be a dead-end.”
“Yeah. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Morgan groaned. “Don’t say stuff like that. You’re going to jinx it.”
“Oh Morgan – I’m pretty sure that we’re all already jinxed. Or cursed, maybe.”
She laughed. “Yeah. Maybe.”
Morgan was being superstitious, but Amanda didn’t believe in stuff like that. She texted Connor to get Mike’s information, and then sent a second text to Will, asking when he would be free next.
No – Amanda wasn’t going to be swayed by superstition. If she wanted something, she would go and get it for herself.
