Evan
Bryce and I hung back, letting Jack and Dyana have their moment. My brain skidded to a halt, and I started chuckling, trying not to interrupt them.
“What the fuck is so funny?” Bryce hissed.
“Jack and Diane... the song! How have we never put that together?”
Bryce’s eyes widened. “Holy shit,” he whispered. “That explains so much. All those times we’ve had to listen to that song!”
Dyana’s moan brought our attention back to the two American kids. Jack had Dyana on her back on the mattress, and as he kissed her, he dipped his fingers between her thighs. I could see how aroused she was, and as Dyana moaned again, I moved toward her. I felt like I would die if I didn’t taste her. I dropped between her legs and smoothed my hands up her thighs as I spread her open. I settled between her legs and knocked Jack’s hand out of the way. I swiped my tongue through her folds and we moaned together as I circled her clit.
I felt the mattress dip as Bryce joined us on the other side of Dyana. Together, we worshipped her body and had her writhing between us. I slipped a finger inside her and curled it as I fastened my lips around her clit. I was determined to make her come before I gave up my coveted position between her sweet thighs. Dyana’s breathing became labored as I worked her higher and higher. I could easily become addicted to the sweet sounds she made. How could she have ever thought Jack would choose another girl over her? Dyana was perfect. Everything I never knew I wanted. I understood now why Jack never bothered with any of the coeds at college. None of them held a candle to Dyana.
“Come for me, Red,” I growled into her pussy.
Her thighs snapped shut around my head as I stuffed a second finger inside of her and felt her pussy flutter around my digits. Seconds later, Dyana grabbed my head to hold me in place. As she moaned her release, her nails dug into my scalp. The bite of pain was worth it as I lapped up her juices like a thirsty dog. She could rip all of my hair out if it meant I could spend every day right here.
Dyana pushed me away when she grew too sensitive. I switched places with Bryce and knocked Jack away so I could kiss her. While we were kissing, she gasped into my mouth, and her eyes widened. When I lifted my lips from hers and looked down, I saw that Bryce was buried between her legs.
“Fuck, Dyana,” he moaned. “Your pussy feels like the sweetest sin.”
Dyana stiffened, and if I hadn’t been so close to her face, I wouldn’t have been able to hear her.
“Stop,” Dyana whispered. “Get off me.” Her eyes were wide with panic, and I didn’t know where her mind had gone, but I knew she wasn’t with us anymore.
“Stop,” I said as I pushed Bryce off of her. “Something is wrong.”
Dyana was on the edge of hyperventilation as the panic attack strengthened its hold on her.
“What did I do?” Bryce asked. “Did I do something wrong?”
“We’ll figure it out later,” Jack said. “Right now, we need to help her through this.” He moved behind her and pulled her back against his chest, wrapping her in a tight embrace. “You’re ok, Dyana. It’s ok. You aren’t there anymore. You’re with us. Jack, Bryce, and Evan. We’ve got you, Doll.”
Bryce and I each grabbed a hand, and I squeezed it tightly, hoping to help ground her. It took several more torturous minutes of Jack coaching Dyana through her breathing before it began to even out, and her eyes were no longer as wild. And then, all of a sudden, she was through it, and her face turned red as panic gave way to embarrassment.
“Don’t do that,” I said quietly. “Don’t be embarrassed. Not with us.” I leaned over and snatched my T-shirt off the floor and rose to my knees. “Arms up,” I ordered. Like an obedient child, Dyana lifted her arms, and I slipped my shirt over her, hoping to alleviate her self-consciousness. We would need to have a difficult conversation about what triggered her panic attack, and I had a feeling she would appreciate as much armor as possible.
“Thanks,” Dyana rasped. “Could I get some water?”
“Got it,” Bryce said quickly. He retrieved the water and handed it to her before locating his pants and pulling them on.
I still had mine on, so Jack gestured for me to take his place. “Stay here with Evan, Doll, so that I can put some pants on, and then we can talk about what happened.”
Dyana nodded, and as she leaned into me, I could feel that she was still trembling like a leaf.
“You’re safe,” I murmured as I kissed her forehead. “Whatever it is, we’ll get through it together.”
Once everyone was covered and back on the bed, Dyana moved out of my arms and scooted so her back was resting against the couch. I could see she was detaching herself from us, not only physically but emotionally, and it took all of my willpower to respect her unspoken request and not touch her.
“I guess it’s truth time,” she said, her voice monotone. “I had hoped to delay this, but that isn’t possible now. I want you to know that once you learn the truth, you are under no obligation to stay with me.”
Jack opened his mouth to protest, but I held up my hand to silence him. We had our entire lives to prove to her that we weren’t going anywhere. Right now, it wasn’t about us; it was about Dyana.
She took another drink of water and, with a final deep breath, she began to tell us her story. “Starting at the very beginning makes the most sense. When the outbreak hit the school, I was already in my dorm room. My roommate and I managed to get to my car and escape. She had been bitten, and by the next morning, she had died. When I got here, the town was a mess. It didn’t take long to find my parents, but Kelly was still missing. I stayed here for a few days while I searched the town for her. She wasn’t here. I had hoped she had escaped, so I packed up and left.”
After another drink of water, Dyana continued her story, and as she did, I was glad there was some distance between us. If there hadn’t been, she might have mistaken my tension. Hearing what those cocksuckers put her through made my blood boil. I could see that Jack and Bryce were reacting the same way. Dyana didn’t notice our reactions as she stared into the past and recited the horrible things that had happened to her, as if she were reading from a history book.
When she got to her time at the church, we got our answer on what had triggered her. I could hear the regret in her voicewhen she explained that two of the cops had found her and she’d run from the church to the sound of the group being gunned down because of her. I was most surprised by her retelling of her conflict with Cora, and made a mental note to hug Cora when we got back for not killing Dyana.
